Metalic Zing is a Ribbed and Squishy Thing

The Zing by Tantus is a textured butt plug with a hole to fit a vibrator. It looks like a piece of vintage machinery. The included silver bullet vibe is of cheap quality but can be replaced, so this toy can be enjoyed for years to “come.” If you're looking for a textured ride up the rear, this could be just the device you're looking for.

The Zing by Tantus with its included bullet vibe, proudly displayed in a clear plastic box for all the world to see:

Zing still in its packaging

The tapered tip of this toy makes it great for warming up the anus. I found I was using the first ¼ of the toy for quite a while, pressing it in as far as was comfortable and taking it out again. Also the silicone is very squishy which makes it more accessible to people with not too much anal experience. The very light vibrations on the tip do have a relaxing effect which can be useful to anyone who's beginning an anal session.

The ridges on this toy attracted me as someone who enjoys a quick flicking or scratching motion over my anus. When this toy is inserted up to the ridges, they can be felt all around the inside rim of the butt. Though they do not feel exactly like fingers, by pushing the toy in and out they create a sensation that flickers rapidly as the ridges dip up and down. This is coupled with a stretching feeling as the ridges are at the widest part of the toy. Overall, this is a worthwhile option for someone who enjoys that kind of stimulation. If you think that you would prefer a slower stretching feeling, I would recommend the B-bomb which is almost identical in design to the Zing except totally smooth. Or, for a graduated series of smooth stretches, something like the Jolly Jack could work for you.

Once fully inserted, the anus can rest comfortably in the dip adjacent to the base. This dip compresses even more if the bullet is not inserted. This is a good option for those interested in extended wear.

Wearing the bullet with the Zing would be indiscreet for public wear due to its low buzzing sound and how it protrudes from the base of the toy. Though while passing time around the house or at the appropriate kind of party, this should be just fine. Just be aware that if you sit down on the bullet, it will probably turn off & definitely push the toy further into you. But fear not, the base of this toy is quite sufficient for keeping the toy from going all the way in. The base also has enough flex to be comfortable between butt cheeks.

As someone who enjoys strong vibrations, I was not satisfied with the strength of the included bullet vibe. I got much better sensations from pressing my Mystic Wand up against the base of the silicone. That said, a benefit to the bullet vibe is that one doesn't have to hold onto anything for the vibrations to be there. Just press the button down and it will stay on. Vibrations can be felt more in the stem of the toy than at the far-inserted tip because the bullet vibe sits right inside the stem. Put a drop of lube on the bullet before inserting it to make it easier to remove later. If you've already put the bullet in without lube, the flexible silicone can stretch back over itself to make it easier to retrieve.

I had to do some trouble shooting with the vibrator. Before the vibe would turn on, I had to remove the plastic tab and take all three batteries out and put them back in again. The second time I used the vibe, it would not turn on unless I removed a rolled piece of plastic from inside the vibrator. Then as I was putting the batteries back in, the toy started vibrating before the cap was screwed on, and the on/off switch no longer worked. Yes, this is a cheap vibrator. Fortunately, any other bullet vibe that is 5/8” in diameter will work fine with the Zing. The Iconic Bullet by Jimmyjane, for example.

The copper coloured version of the Zing is a great choice for people who appreciate steam punk or industrial style. The Zing looks kind of like a vintage mechanical instrument or a bomb. The silicone is shiny-looking with a little bit of drag to help lube stick to it.

The silicone half of this toy can be cared for like other silicone. It can be sterilized by boiling for a few minutes, soaking in a 10% bleach solution, or running through the dishwasher. If you are going to share this toy or switch it between orifices, sterilize or use a condom to avoid contamination. It can also be washed with plain old soap and water. Keep sharp objects away from this toy and store in a sealed container to avoid dust collection. Use only water based lube.
Experience
I have not tried this toy with a partner yet, so can't speak to how it feels on the vaginally-inserted penis while the toy is in the butt. I could feel the vibrations lightly in my vagina, though, so I'd imagine any man could as well.
Follow-up commentary
I have been liking this toy more and more. I appreciate the tapered end. It makes for an easy initial stretch of the anus. I've also warmed up to the ridges. The ridged part of this toy is actually quite thick. Now that I've gotten used to how wide it is, I really appreciate the added stimulation from the ridges. The silicone is so lovely and squishy, and what a beautiful colour!
