Material / Texture

Both the attachment and the douche bulb are made of two different materials. The insertable portion is made of plastic.
The plastic is hard and smooth but has a slight matte feel to it. Plastic has no taste or smell. It is easy to clean, but it is semi-porous and cannot be sterilized completely. Sharing is not the best idea and a condom cannot be used safely since slippage is likely. This product needs to be kept as clean as possible to prevent infection and possible flushing with bacteria filled liquid.

The bulb is made of a flexible and durable TPE. Unlike rubber or latex this will last longer and isn't susceptible to cracking and drying out over time. The material makes it easy to squeeze the bulb and has very little smell. The smell will be stronger when new but quickly goes away. TPE is somewhat porous so it cannot be sterilized. This is not ideal for a toy of this nature, but for the price, the material is nice.

Design / Shape / Size

For a toy that cleans out your bum bum, it is actually kind of pretty. The shape of it is sleek and elegant. The color, majestic. In total length the Booty Blaster is about 9 3/4" long. The neck looks like it might be too long, but in order to use the product it needs to go past the first two anal sphincters. The extra length is appreciated. The bulb is a nice size for holding liquid. It is about 2 1/2" wide at the largest point and 4 1/4" long. The end of the neck is a little larger than the rest of the shaft, but is such a small size, it is suitable for anyone. It is about 3/4" wide and the rest is about 1/2". The end has two holes for the liquid to come out.

This toy is not discreet but does come apart for ease in travel if so desired.

Performance

To use a douche, traditionally you will want to use warm water. Make sure the water is not too hot! Squeeze the bulb of the Booty Blaster as much as you can while it is connected to the shaft. Submerge the holes underwater by filling the sink and slowly release. This will fill the bulb up with water. You can also disconnect the bulb, submerge it or hold it under the faucet and then reconnect it.

Using lubricant is a smart idea because of the holes. It will cause less friction. Tilt the curve toward the ceiling, lift a leg for comfort if needed, and slowly slid the bulb in. You need to go in at least 2-3" before squeezing the bulb. If you don't liquid either will not come out of the bulb at all or it will go everywhere but in your butt! Do so slowly. Slowly pull the shaft out. Repeat the process a few times until you feel full. At the point where you feel "full", you can dispense the water by acting as if you are going to the bathroom. It naturally feels the same, and you won't need to do much pushing. Repeat the process until the water looks the same going in as it does coming out.

Care and Maintenance

To clean, separate the bulb from the shaft. Wash with warm water and anti-bacterial soap. Fill the bulb, reattach and squeeze out the shaft. Make sure to let it dry completely before repackaging. The last thing you want is mold. This product cannot be sterilized. You can use any kind of lubricant with it.

Packaging

The packaging is simple. The product comes in a clear plastic clam shell that clearly shows the toy and describes its use. It's okay for storage as long as you make sure it is dry. There is an insert with some information about the product. It comes in purple or black.

Personal comments

I have only tried one other anal douche and comparing them makes this one fall short. The design is flawed. If you aren't careful, the bulb will come apart from the shaft. This can occur if you squeeze too fast or too hard, or if you try to thrust the toy or have it at a wrong angle. The holes at the end are either not large enough or there aren't enough of them because you do have to squeeze hard to dispense the water. Other than this, the product works well, you just have to do it multiple times because the bulb isn't large enough to do the job in one use.
Follow-up commentary
For the price, this toy has proved worth it. The material has stood up and I've been able to use this time and time again without incident. The holes in the end are the worst part due to cleaning, but that can be expected with toys of this type.
