Nexus Kind-of-Uncomfortable-play Large

This toy is great for someone looking for a gorgeous, filling G-spot toy that is discreet in size and has strong vibrations. Beware that the toy I received was poorly made though, which was disappointing.

Use

The best use for the Nexus G-play Large is as a G-spot or P-spot vibrator. It also feels good on the nipples, on one's clitoris, and I'm sure it feels good on male external bits as well, but I can't really attest to that. It's a bit odd shaped to be a body massager, but its curves feel great on a sore back.

This toy is good for anyone that likes a very filling toy or someone who likes strong, buzzy vibrations.

The best occasion to use this toy is for solo or partner play. This toy is NOT waterproof though and the battery compartment has some issues (but more on that later).

Material / Texture

This toy consists of a silicone body and a plastic base/battery compartment insert. It rates as a 10 on the safety scale because it is made of silicone. The toy does not have any smell or taste that I noticed. The silicone body is supposed to be seamless, but whoever closed the seams on this toy didn't do a very good job in some areas and it is a bit lumpy, but nothing noticeable when in use.

The texture of the silicone is suitable for beginners and advanced users alike. It is very soft and velvety and it really does feel wonderful just to touch.
    • No odor
    • Not porous at all
    • Smooth

Design / Shape / Size

I don't think this toy is for beginners either vaginally or anally. While it doesn't look incredibly huge in the product picture, its curves make it a very filling toy. This toy has a length of 4", 3 1/2" of which are insertable, and a circumference of 4".

The design of this toy is really gorgeous in person. The curves are very aesthetically pleasing. When in use, however, I find the bottom curve to be uncomfortable. It's more pronounced than the top curve (not the G/P spot curve, the other one), and I think I would prefer they switch sides. I really liked the G/P spot curve though.

This toy is small enough to easily travel with and to be completely honest, someone not familiar with sex toys would probably have to take a minute to figure out what it is.

Functions / Performance / Controls

To start out with, this toy did not work when I first received it. The battery compartment wasn't put together well and the circuit to make it work wasn't connecting. After realizing this, I simply pushed the metal part that touches the battery up a bit farther than it was and success, I had a working toy.

The plastic power button is located on the bottom of the plastic base and is hard to use once inserted so it might take some maneuvering to switch settings once you've got this toy where you want it. To turn this toy on, you push the power button. To cycle through the 5 settings, you push the power button and to turn the toy off, you push and hold the power button.

The settings are pretty weird:
1)a kind of buzzing roller coaster pattern that is slow and then speeds up and slows down again
2)buzzes really hard and then stops and repeats.
3)straight up continual buzzing
4)a slow buzz....buzz....buzz
5)a repeating buzz,buzz,buzz...buzz,buzz,buzz...

This toy is not waterproof and it's pretty loud. It can be heard under a blanket and even through quiet background noise. I've got a fan running right now and it can be heard over that. Through a door with background noise, you probably wouldn't hear this.
    • Multiple settings
    • Not very discreet
    • Strong patterns

Care and Maintenance

The silicone body of this toy comes off of the plastic base, so cleaning is super easy; but if you get anything on the plastic base, be very very careful cleaning it off. I would suggest using a wipe. You can wash the silicone body with antibacterial soap and water, but I really suggest getting some toy cleaner because you can't be too safe!

Once washed, let your silicone body dry before putting it and the plastic base away. As this toy is silicone, you should NOT store it so it's touching other silicone toys. This will ruin your toys. Also, because of the silicone, you should only use a water-based lube so as to not degrade the material.

Packaging

This toy comes in a black and purple container with a see-though plastic front. There are two plastic inserts on the top and bottom of the toy in the box to hold it in place (the bottom insert also contains a battery!). You could store it like this, but it's pretty inconvenient to have to mess with the plastic inserts and it's not very discreet. I keep mine in a toy bag and put that in my toy box so it doesn't come into contact with other silicone toys.

The outside of the box isn't discreet. It says that it's a G-spot massager that has 5 vibration settings on the front along with the name. The back says that it is anatomically contoured, made of luxury brushed silicone, and odorless and phthalate-free, among other things.

The information slip housed under the bottom plastic insert holding the toy tells you that you should wash your toy before and after use and they suggest that you use an anal douche before using this toy if you're going to be using it for P-spot play. They also make a point of telling you that it is important that you relax to thoroughly enjoy using the Nexus G-play large.
    • Not discreet
    • Very informative

Experience

While I love the filling feeling of this toy, the G-spot head, and the strong vibrations, the bottom curve of the toy is uncomfortable for me. The poorly brushed on silicone and the poorly put together battery compartment is just disappointing in a 60 dollar toy.
