Not just for pro's

This toy is a decently-powered anal vibrator that can be used to stimulate both men and women. However, it was nothing special and had a control button that was too easily changed.

Use

The Prosty is best used anally, but it can also double as a vaginal toy if you are careful with hygiene. It is specifically curved to hit the prostate but that same curve can be used for g-spot stimulation. The vibrator can also be used to stimulate external erogenous zones. It can be used by both men and women, either alone or with a partner. It is supposedly waterproof, but the o-ring is barely visible and might not be leak-proof.

Material / Texture

The Prosty is made of smooth, non-porous, body-safe ABS plastic, free from phthaltes and latex. It has no texture, but it does have a small seam that is not noticeable during use, but can be felt with the fingertips, making it good for those who do not enjoy texture. Upon arrival it had no noticeable scent or taste.

Design / Shape / Size

The Prosty is curved ergonomically to fit the anal passage comfortably and hit the prostate, which is very good since it is made of an inflexible material. It has no texture and is very smooth. I found the shape pleasing, but the actual size of the toy to be surprising and a little larger than expected.

The widest insert-able diameter is 1.25 inches, and not 1.5 inches like the product page might imply. It's good for advanced users, but beginners may want to warm up to this toy, as its widest is actually inserted almost immediately with very little, if any, tapering beforehand. After the widest point, the toy narrows down until it is 5/8 of an inch, before immediately flaring out. The flare is the grey, curved, oval shaped piece of plastic that is about 1.25 inches by 1.5 inches, making it very safe for anal use. The little bulb just passed that can be unscrewed to access the battery compartment, and at the very end is the control button. This button's location is awkward for reasons described below. Overall, the toy is not particularly discreet.

Care and Maintenance

This toy is made from ABS plastic, which can be easily cleaned with antibacterial soap and hot water or by wiping it down with isopropyl alcohol. It is pretty easy to clean, except for near the base where grooves and slots might accumulate gunk and require more effort to clean out. The toy is safe to use with other toys and condoms, and I actually recommend it be used with condoms so that it can be more easily cleaned. Since it is plastic, it can be used safely with lubes based on water, silicone, or even oil (oil is for males only, as it can drip into the vagina and cause problems for females). It should be stored without the batteries, but otherwise is safe as is, although I personally store all my anal toys separately for hygienic reasons.

Packaging

The toy came in a mostly clear/transparent plastic box with a plastic shell inside to hold the toy. It isn't particularly suited for storage.

Personal comments

The flared end concerned me when I saw the product picture, but since it gets wider than the head I consider it safe for anal.

Experience

This was my first "for anal" vibrator that I've ever used. It worked pretty well, except that due to the button being placed on the very end, I would find that it would change the setting of the toy when used while seated, or if I tried to wear it under tight clothing. I also found the head to be a bit large for me to try to immediately use, and beginners like myself should warm up before using it.
Follow-up commentary
It's been a while since I've even touched this toy. The awkward controls don't lend themselves well to discreet sexy-times, so given that I live in a dorm most of the year and next door to my siblings during the rest of the year, I just never use it. The vibrations are nothing spectacular or interesting, and the flanged area and the control button are prone to getting gunked up with lube if I don't immediately clean it after use. Sorry Prosty, but I'm just not that into you.
