Not My Shape

Risque is a vibrating plug that is beginner friendly. If you are hoping for one that works for double penetration, this isn't it. The vibrations are powerful, but the plug shape just didn't work for me.

Use

The risque is a vibrating plug with 10 functions. It can be used vaginally and anally, however due the material you should cover it with a condom when using it anally, so you don't transfer bacteria from the anus to the vagina. This plug can be used by men and women. If you are looking for a vibrating plug that you can use for double penetration (DP), this plug might work for those whose anatomy will allow that to happen. The plug can be used during couple play.

The best use I found for this plug was to wear it around the house, but only if sitting. I found that it slide out often on me. I was hoping for a toy for double penetration, but this is not the right one for me. The shape doesn't work for me and the base covers part of the vaginal opening.

I think this plug is ideal for beginners. The size is petite enough and the design makes for easy insertion. This is not ideal for size lovers.

Material / Texture

Risque is made of TPR and Plastic. The cap over the battery compartment is plastic and the plug/probe is TPR. The insertable material is TPR, which has a safety rating of a 7. It is less porous than cyberskin, but more porous than silicone; which makes it semi porous. You should cover this with a condom before using it anally, if you wish to also use it vaginally or if you want to share this plug. The TPR is soft with little drag. It is squishy to the touch as well. There is a slight new smell that transfers over to taste. TPR is hypo-allergenic, latex free, and phthalates free.

There is no added texture to this plug, but there is a seam that can be felt.
    • Light odor
    • Smooth
    • Somewhat porous

Design / Shape / Size

Risque is available in black, blue, and pink. I have the pink, which is like a dark magenta. This plug looks like a spike with a bottom like a rocking horse. The total length of the toy is 4", but is only insertable 3". The design of the plug is a rounded top spike that is really thin at the top, which then cones down until you get the the curve, which is then attached to the base. The largest insertable circumference is 4 1/8" (1 1/8" diameter.) The flared based is eye shaped, so it is wider left to right than up to down. The base has a 3" diameter (9.5" circumference.)There is enough room on each side of the spike probe for a finger, the measured space is just shy of 1" each side. There is a seam that runs from side to side of the entire toy. The very bottom of the base comes completely off by pushing the side that says open and pulling off the cap. This reveals the battery unit, which has placement for two AAA batteries that can be removed easily with the black ribbon on the inside. There are cut outs and tabs for proper cap placement. Once the batteries are in place you can turn on the vibrations. These are controlled with a single button in the middle of the bottom cap.

The size is suitable for traveling, since it will easily fit just about anywhere. I think the size and design are more suited for beginners or for those who like smaller toys in their ass. Should someone find this, they would surely give you funny looks, since there is no hiding its function.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Risque is powered by 2 AAA batteries and is controlled by a single button located on the bottom cap. This is easy to use a single click per setting and to turn it off hold in the button for about 3 seconds. There are 10 total functions of vibrations from this plug. The sound of the vibrations are not loud and should not be heard behind closed doors, under the covers, or when it is in use. The are very buzzy sounding. The vibrations can be felt all over the entire plug, from top to bottom. These vibrations are pretty powerful, which was a surprise to me. They are worthy of 4 vrooms. The functions are as follow:

1.Low steady vibrations that hum.
2.Medium steady vibrations that buzz.
3.High steady vibrations that buzz.
4.Pulsation vibrations that go beep..beep..
5.Pulsation vibrations that rock.
6.Pulsation that rocks then moves to steady, which starts off low and gets high.
7.Pulsation that is steady then takes a break, but shakes every so often.
8.Steady medium vibrations that fade down to nothing and work back up.
9.Low and slow pulsation in random patterns.
10.Steady high vibrations that change to low pulsations vibrations and back.

This toy is waterproof and performs well in water. The cap doesn't allow any water inside. The vibrations are quieter under water and the toy doesn't heat up.

    • Discreet sound
    • Easy to use
    • Lots of variety in function

Care and Maintenance

TPR should be cleaned with a mild soap and warm water before and after every use. It can not be sterilized, so sharing without a condom isn't recommend.

The plug should be stored discreetly wherever you wish. It is small enough to go into your purse, but should not be left out for others to see, if you don't want them too.

TPR is compatible with silicone and water based lubes.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Packaging

The packaging is not discreet and should be wrapped if gifting. It has some useful information on the back, but overall is minimal.
    • Minimal
    • Not discreet
    • Very informative
Follow-up commentary

Be careful not to drop this toy! I dropped it once on the floor from about 4ft high and it broke! There is no way to fix it. So, I had to throw it away. I'm still looking for a vibrating anal toy. I just haven't found one yet.
