Not really made for me

I am not excited about this toy. However, I think it is well designed, good for beginners and good for people who have sensitive prostates and perineums (men, usually). It's also not super versatile, but could be good for someone who doesn't mind that.

Use

The Helix is an anal toy. It's plastic and doesn't require batteries, so I guess you could call it travel friendly and waterproof. I think they label it as a prostate massager, and I think it's best to use on men. I'm a woman and I've never used it with a man, but a lot of the features struck me as far more optimal for the male body. It's got nice curves that make it slide in easily, and it's fairly small and not intimidating. The handles are such that you can hold on to it and thrust with it, or you can leave it and it won't get lost in your ass. The front handle has a nub that is supposed to rub the perineum, which of course is one of the features that I assume would be much more pleasurable for a man.

Material / Texture

It's made with hard plastic, making it great to sanitize (important, since it goes in your butt). I think since it's small, the firmness of the plastic will not cause any pain. Since I didn't love the front handle, a part of me would have liked to have more flexibility in managing the toy.
    • No odor
    • Not porous at all

Design / Shape / Size

The design felt very accommodating for anal play. Its curved shape slipped in very, very easily, and I could tell the design was well thought out. As I already mentioned, I didn't feel like I was the target consumer, which is why I felt more ambivalent about it. The size is small, so it's excellent for a beginner like myself, although I'm not sure how much someone with more anal experience would feel about it. I personally wouldn't travel with it, but it's pretty small and doesn't require batteries, so I'm sure you could if you wanted to.

Performance

I thought it was fine. It wasn't the toy I was looking for, but I think it could be very good for the right user. It did its job well, but I imagine I would have enjoyed it far more if I had a prostate and a sensitive perineum.

Care and Maintenance

It's super easy to clean, thanks to the hard, nonporous plastic. Plus it's compatible with any lube, as far as I can tell. Both factors are extremely important to an anal toy, so that is especially nice.
