Sensual bender - probe discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by blacklodge

The Sensual Bender is, as it names implies, a bendable jelly anal probe. It is long enough for advanced users, yet slim enough for beginners. There is a retrieval cord attached to the end of the probe which makes it safer to use.

You could also use this as a normal vaginal dildo, but I would use a condom over it if you've already used this in your ass.

The Bender is made of jelly and you can smell it as soon as you open the package. It's one of those "I don't want to touch my face after I've touched this toy!" type of smells that are normally associated with jelly. It attracts lint, dust, cat hair, everything. It is thick enough to where you do not feel the plastic spine that allows it to bend.

If you are sharing this toy or using it anally and vaginally (with a good wash before you switch) you should use a condom. Jelly has a safety rating of 2 and cannot be sterilized.

Overall, this was a fantastic concept, but failed in just about every way possible.

The total length is 10". The first three bulbs are all 1" wide, the next four are 1 1/8", and the remaining bulbs are 1¼" wide.




The retrieval cord is attached to the plastic spine that runs through the entire toy. The cord was a neat idea, except it causes quite a few problems. Let's take a look:

See how the end is just an open hole? Yeah, that lets any type of liquid or moisture go throughout the entire toy. If you get water in there, you cannot get it all out. If there was a cap over it, or better coverage, this wouldn't be a problem.

The next picture is of the imperfections that were already in the toy when I received it. I have messed around with the sharpness of the picture to help show you what happened.

I can only assume this is from the mold the toy was made from. There are also some flat spots and other imperfections that look like little divots all over the toy. Even some of the glitter was sticking out of the toy.


Finally, this is what the spine looks like.

I cut it open all in the name of science and my hatred for this toy. The spine does not stay bent when in use and has this creaking sound when you bend it. If you insert this and then try to walk around, you can feel the spine moving and you can actually hear it a little bit. Not exactly what I want in an anal toy.

This toy is just a huge bust for me. It's suppose to be a bendable probe that stays bent when in use. The spine is just not going to hold its bent shape when used as an anal probe. It does keep more of it's shape when used vaginally, but not enough for me to actually enjoy it. I am super disappointed in this toy.

Jelly toys can be cleaned with soap and water, toy cleaners, or toy wipes. Do not boil this and do not use strong soaps with it. Water and silicone lubes are okay to use with this toy. I don't store this toy because I cut it in half for this review and then threw it away. If you do intend on buying one and keeping it, this should be kept in a cool dark place and preferably in the package it came in or something else to keep the lint away.
