Gumdrops butt plug by Doc Johnson - review by Brittany St Jordan

The Gumdrop is a butt plug and could maybe be used as a gag if you are really kinky and can't find a ball gag. The smooth texture and rubbery feel make it quite comfortable when inserting and removing from your butt.

The Gumdrop is like a big gummy bear you stick in your butt. It is made of soft and bouncy PVC that can stand up to silicone lube which makes using the this plug in your ass a tad more enjoyable. The outside is super smooth and there are no noticeable ridges to worry about. It also has a very shiny finish to it to make it pretty to look at. Overall this plug can be used by about anyone without any concern.

The PVC has a definitive smell to it. Like a skunk a mile away, it isn't overpowering but if you sniff it directly it is quite overwhelming. For me, the odor puts me off a little bit because it is constantly there. Even with the plug in my butt I could still get a whiff of the PVC.

The Gumdrops butt plug is super cute with its unique design. The smaller head with the narrow shaft makes it great for beginners and the wider bulb will help expand your horizons when it comes to anal play. It isn't really long enough for P-spot stimulation, but popping the larger bulb in and out of your ass feels really good. Since it is made of a super flexible PVC there is little to no worry of the Gumdrop scraping or scratching anything inside of you.

It is a rather small plug and can easily be tucked away in a suitcase or shoebox to conceal from others.

It is also a little difficult to get the plug in initially because it has so much bend to it. Once the first bulb is in, then it is on the second one. The graduated neck allows for easy stretching of the butthole in order for the larger bulb to pop its way inside. Being that it is small I found that it isn't good for trying to do more than simple play. The base is too close to the larger bulge and doesn't allow the butthole to clench around it to hold it in place. Instead, the butthole clenches down and pushed the Gumdrop out. This doesn't make for a very effective butt plug at all.

This thing attracts dust like no tomorrow. Definitely wash it before you use it to get any debris off of it before sticking it in your butt. I use some anti-bacterial toy cleaner and warm water and it gets the Gumdrop nice and clean when I am done using it. I store the Gumdrop in a small bag by itself to keep it from sticking to the other toys or passing its odor around.

The box has a sort of cross between anime and Kegel balls for a design. It is definitely very unique and kind of cute. It is a sturdy box with an insert that can definitely be used to store the Gumdrop if you so choose.

For something to play around with it is an OK plug, but you have to keep constant pressure on it or else it will pop out. If want something to help you go from the skinny to the larger plugs, then this plug will make a great training tool just for that purpose.

I used the plug for the first time during a shoot and it was quite bothersome that every time I would pose or move it would continue to fall out. We got some great shots with it but I prefer a more hands off approach when using butt plugs.
