Swirled G - glass dildo discontinued by WHK GmbH - review by Alicia

When I got my Swirled G the packaging looked like no other package I've ever gotten before. It had big bold writing all over it that listed some of its features and the writing looked almost like fluorescent signs from a diner or something. Different, but very cool. I also saw that they took every precaution to ensure that this glass toy would get to you in one peace. Inside the cardboard sleeve was a clear plastic box and inside the plastic was a styrofoam bed, with an inset that perfectly nestles the Swirled G. It's also twisty tied in place! A lot of packaging to get through but worth it to ensure my glass was intact.

Once I had the Swirled G out I just kind of looked at it for a while, it's a really beautiful dildo. The shape and the swirls and the way it stands on its base just makes it almost like an art sculpture. If I didn't have kids (who would be saying "what's that???") I'd leave it out to display it, it's just that cool. This is one of the reasons I love glass toys so much; not only are they hygienic but they're just so gorgeous and I feel elegant using them.

The swirled G is generously sized, while not being overwhelming. You do need to ease into its large bulbous head but after you have that inserted the rest is easy, although you can certainly feel every ridge on the swirl as it goes in and out. I found I needed some lube in order for it to feel comfortable and to glide easily enough that I wasn't grimacing each time a ridge would slide out. Not to say it was painful really, just a very weird sensation. I enjoyed this toy much more when I was well lubricated. Once having the proper lubrication the ridges were definitely an asset, as you can feel each one and get excellent sensation from every last inch of the Swirled G.

Now, being the swirled G, this toy should be good for g-spot stimulation. And it is good, but it's not exactly great. I actually found it to be a bit too large and hard to handle to really get the g-spot adequately. It does hit it, and it does feel nice, I just didn't find that I was able to get quite enough direct pressure there. This might be because of the handle. The base, while great for the toy to stand on isn't all that user friendly to use for thrusting. My husband mentioned that he felt it seemed backwards, like the part that sticks out should be on the top and not the bottom because it'd just be the way that his hand would naturally want to hold the dong when using it on me. We have the inked glass probe and he prefers that type of handle, where you can actually grip around the toy and get a good grip so that the thrusting just becomes a natural feeling. I think what prevented me from getting the g-spot stimulation that I desired from the G was that in order to grasp the base in a way that felt comfortable I would inadvertently angle the toy back and away from the g-spot; this can be corrected but it's just not comfortable enough to keep the correct angle for too long.

I still enjoy the Swirled G, it's just not my go to toy for g-spot centered play. I do like it as a regular dong though and it's curve does make for more g-spot stimulation then you'd get from a straight wand type, even if it's not being angled for direct pressure on it. I also love, love, love it's ridges (did I mention I'm fond of them) and so if I am looking for texture this is the toy I'll reach for. If you're new to textures or ridges, this one might be a bit intense, but it will give you a good idea of what texture can do to add to your pleasure because they are absolutely able to be felt and enjoyed and they're not just for design as I have sometimes noticed to be the case on other toys.

I also can't say enough good things about glass, it's easy to clean, can be sterilized, you can use any type of lube with it and it can be heated up or cooled down for temperature play. And those ridges definitely bring on a whole new sensation when used for temperature play!

This one is still a lot of fun, but I'm a bit weary of it now. We were using it the other day and everything was fine and then all of a sudden it must have shifted and it hurt like hell. We had to stop and it was a major mood killer. Since it's large and it's glass you need to be really careful with this one, it's still a great shape but I definitely don't recommend going fast with this one, since one wrong move can result in a lot of pain and discomfort for a day or two after. I wouldn't say I completely dislike the toy now, but it's definitely not a favorite anymore and it won't be getting used as much, I like toys that we can go as hard as we want with.
