The Dare Shackles are an introductory set of vibrating anal beads. As previously mentioned the beads are exceptionally small. I would suggest only using the beads anally, as vaginal play is almost pointless due to their size. As a first time set of anal beads the Dare Shackles are perfect. They are small, comfortable and even have a massaging bullet built into the final/largest bead. Please note that the final bead should not be inserted, and is intended for clitoral stimulation only!

We both tried this toy together and solo and we agree that it's best used with a partner. With the vibrating egg on the end of the chain of beads, there are a plethora of stimulating combinations that can be applied to one parter or to both partners simultaneously.

The Dare Shackles are made from some of the softest, most luxurious feeling, non-porous, phthalate free silicone I've ever felt. There was no smell when removing the toy from its packaging and even when I stuck it directly under my nose (before I used it) there was still no smell. The silicone is very flexible and and due to the small size of the beads it makes insertion a little difficult without a partner.

The design of the Dare Shackles is where this product really loses points with me. The beads are entirely too small and are all about the same size. Even for a beginner, there is almost no sensation created by such small beads. I would have much preferred that the beads start small like they are, but gradually increase in size with each bead.

The silicone, which feels AMAZING, is so flexible that inserting the beads is difficult to do by yourself, and nearly impossible if you have lube everywhere.

When we first selected the Dare Shackles for review we were excited about the idea of vibrating anal beads. Unfortunately, once we got them in our lubed up little hands we were very disappointed. The bullet that resides in the egg on the end of the chain is very small and very weak. We had hoped for vibrations that would be strong in the egg for clitoral stimulation, but that would also travel down the beads for an added anal sensation.

The bullet included with the Dare Shackles is very weak and hardly works well for clitoral stimulation, and definitely doesn't work for any additional anal stimulation. Even if the beads were larger and more "filling" the vibrations still wouldn't have been noticeable.

To top it all off, the switch on the bullet that turns it on and off (only the one setting is available) is impossibly hard to turn on or off. It is rediculously small and once you have lube on your hand you can forget it. The best practice would be to turn on the bullet before applying any lube and then turning it off once your done and cleaned up. The vibrations are so weak and thus quiet, that turning on the bullet before use is not noticeable.

We think that Touche is on to something good here, but they need to make some major improvements in this area.

The Dare Shackles are designed perfectly for anal play, since they can be washed in the dishwasher or even boiled. Please note that before doing either, the plastic vibrating bullet should be removed from the final bead. Instructions and a special tool for removal are included with the toy.

The silicone is wonderfully soft, and does not attract lint or fuzz. We keep it stored in a wooden box in our night stand with some other sex stuff and it's been clean every time we pull it out.

The batteries included in the bullet are small watch batteries that should last for about 40 total minutes. We are yet to use the toy that much, but generally watch batteries suck to change, and since the vibrations are very weak with this toy we probably won't change them.

This is the first toy we've ever purchased from Touche and we loved the packaging that the Dare Shackles came in. The black box has a matte finish and screams SEXY. It is very elegant and is perfect for wrapping in paper, but is pretty enough that I would just use a matching bow on the outside, if I were giving it as a gift.

The box was easy to open and the plastic sleeve holding the beads slid out easily. Included in the packaging was a wonderful instruction booklet with easy to read directions(with pictures)and a special tool for removing the bullet from the final bead/egg.
