Pro touch plug sex toy review
The Pro Touch is a good toy for an anal beginner and has some good things going for it, but it just doesn't deliver as much as it should. It isn't great as a strap-on toy or as a butt plug and is mediocre at prostate stimulation.Published: June 19, 2008
Pros:
Silicone, curve, vibrator
Cons:
Too small, not rigid enough, no neck
I originally got the Pro Touch to experiment with prostate massage. I will say that it is great for an anal beginner because it starts off small and works itself up as you insert it. In fact the way I use it most often now is as a starter toy for anal play. It is easy to insert because the silicone texture is glossy and smooth. The curve in the shaft is nice and gives one the impression of being able to provide the desired direct prostate stimulation. Unfortunately, I found the stimulation it did provide just didn’t do it for me. It seems like the silicone used for this toy is just not rigid enough. It would provide gentle stimulation to the prostate, but it was so gentle that I wasn’t sure if it was even hitting the right spot. Since this was my first experience with prostate stimulation, it left me wanting. Since then I have done a lot more prostate play and have found other toys that I like better for this purpose.
I think the main problem with the Pro Touch is its relative size. It sort of goes the wrong direction. The end size is smaller than the area closer to the base, so it has no neck. I would hate for any one to think that this thing would make a good butt plug, because I think a neck is essential in butt plugs and the Pro Touch does not really have one. There is a little ridge about an inch up from the base, but it isn’t really enough to hold it in place. This means it has a tendency to slip out which forces you to keep pushing it back in. This doesn’t make it very conducive to many sexual positions as it will slip out during intercourse unless you are in a seated position or on your back with your legs close together.
It didn’t do much for g-spot stimulation on my partner either. I think that the size and rigidity were factors here as well. The hole in the base is a nice place to put your finger while moving it in and out though. As far as being a good strap-on, I think that it is just too short to be very effective in this regard as well.
Now, since this toy is made out of silicone, it makes it easy to clean and gives you the ability to sterilize it as well. It also means that the toy can last a lifetime. These are great features and should not be over looked by any one in the market for new sex toys. It also comes with a bullet vibrator which is nice. Although the bullet didn’t really help much with stimulation either. It was too weak to really be felt either on prostate or g-spot.

A unisex toy

Chris80I am trying to find the right toy that both me and my fiance can use. So, something for g-spot stimulation for her and prostate stimulation for me. Is Pro touch plug good for this? -
SpazydevilNot a bad choice. It's silicone, so it's hypoallergenic and can be cleaned and sterilized. You could easily interchange it, just make sure it is sterile, especially going from you to her.
The reviews say it gives a great prostate massage, and that's the stimulation you're looking for on you. Also from the look of it, the Pro Touch Plug would give good g-spot stimulation too - from the shape and angle.
I think it would work for the purposes you're looking for. -
I have this toy, and although I found it adequate for prostate massage, it didn't do much for g-spot massage on my partner.
If I had it to do over again, I would probably get the G-Force instead. Although the ProTouch has a vibrator and is harness compatible, I like the looks of the handle on the G-Force. It has a little more girth to it, but it is still relatively small. It is longer and should allow for more manipulation to better contact the prostate and the g-spot.

Thank you for viewing Pro touch plug – prostate massager review page!

So basically, good concept, but failed. That's too bad! Have you looked at the G-force?
CW - that pretty much sums it up.
I've just ordered the G-force, so look for a review in a few weeks.
This toy looks a little intimidating to me from the beginner's standpoint. Still, looking at the actual size photo, it's not as big as it looks. The bends and curves are still scary, though.
Demi - it really isn't intimidating at all.
It is like 1/2" diameter at the first bulb, then 3/4 diameter at the second bulb, the maximum diameter is 1.25" at the last ridge right before the final "neck" which is about 1". I think even beginner anal toys start out around the same size.
I agree it makes a lousy butt plug but personally it is my favourite toy for prostate stimulation and it is the only toy that has ever given me an orgasm from anal stimulation alone
Glad this works so well for you. You should consider submitting a review explaining your process. Thanks!
Do you have a recommendation for a harness compatible dildo that works well for prostate stimulation? I recently tried the Compact on my husband but I know we'll need to upgrade soon. It's too short to be ideal for use with a harness.
I haven't used the Sport or the Luxury, but they are the compact's bigger brothers but I don't think they are sold here any more. I love the sherbet, but it is also discontinued. Given all of that, I would have to recommend the P-spot link as a larger harness compatible toy that is good for prostate stimulation. The G-spot link works as well and comes with a vibrator if that is your desire.
It is a more flexible toy, so as inserted it will almost straighten out while still applying pressure to your p spot. the final flange is tough to insert for me, and not as a butt plug, wont stay in
I agree, Kinky Skier, with your comments.
As I was reading your review I was thinking to myself...ok so maybe it can be saved as a g-spot toy. BUMMER...0-2. Thanks for the good review!
Thanks for the comment, Lauren. I was hoping for better usefulness on some front, but I was disappointed. Maybe we just like a firmer g-spot/p-spot stimulation than others though, because I think other reviews have said it was enough stimulation for them.
Thanks for the review. I too do not like the shape/size proportions of this toy.
You are welcome, hjtee. The Pro Touch certainly left something to be desired for me.
Thanks!
You are welcome, anonomous.
