Sedeux please - strap-on dildo by Sportsheets - review by FieryRed

The "Please" from Sportsheets' Sedeux line is a nice little dildo for strap-on play, either anal or vaginal. It's great for anyone with little or no experience with penetration, as well as those who are just physically smaller or more sensitive than average. The flared base enables safe non-harness anal use, as well.

The Please is made of a firmer silicone--firm enough to offer some g-spot (or p-spot) stimulation, but still flexible, with a hint of squish. When held up by the base horizontally, the tip does not bend toward the floor, but you can still use your hand to bend the tip all the way to the base, if you use a fair amount of pressure. It has a nice, smooth, almost slick texture, which gives it a bit of drag and stickiness. I did some searching for information on the type of silicone used, but had no luck (and the Sportsheets company's website isn't fully compatible with my browser or something); this toy, unlike several other silicone toys I've had, DOES have a slight odor and flavor to it. It also retains a bit of the scent of the soap I use to wash it. This can be a good or bad thing, depending on your preferences. Personally, I prefer my toys to be odorless and flavorless, because the only thing I want to be smelling or tasting is my partner!

The shape and size of the Please are generally excellent for their purpose. To me, the small, smooth tip and the slight undulations along the shaft immediately suggest that it was intended for anal use, but we bought it for vaginal adventures. The product page measurements seem to be correct for this one, as the center of the shaft does indeed measure 3" around and 7/8" across, while the insertable portion is about 4 1/2" long (maybe a little longer, if used without an O-ring). The entire thing measures 5 1/4" long, and the base is 2 1/4" wide, with a flat bottom. My girlfriend is very small vaginally, and is fairly new to penetration, and though the small "Silk" didn't cause her any trouble, she wanted to try something just a little bigger for more stimulation. Please is just a little thicker and firmer than the small Silk, while still being quite small, and it also has those subtle swells along its shaft, so it was perfect for our needs. It's a little thicker than one of my fingers, but not nearly as thick as two, and the curved shape gives some gentle g-spot action as well. It feels nice for me, too, when I'm in the mood for something smaller and firmer than my current favorite toy, the VixSkin Spur from Vixen. The shape is clearly not realistic, which I like, but it isn't discreet either--it definitely looks like a sex toy.

The Please performs well in a harness, so long as you have an appropriately small O-ring, or a harness without an O-ring. (I HATE O-rings with a passion, myself! If you do, too, see my "Personal Comments" below.) The small diameter of this toy means you'll have better control with a tighter fit in the harness. Also, as another reviewer mentioned, the base is not very ergonomic for hand-held use, and should be wider and more rounded for a comfortable grip. The firmness level of the Please works well, in that it will hold its shape during thrusting, but still flex a bit so as not to bruise anything.

Silicone toys like the Please are easy to care for. For light cleaning, just wash with a gentle soap and water. For sterilization, it can be placed in the top rack of your dishwasher without soap, or boiled for five minutes. I wouldn't use bleach, myself, because of the small chance that it might not get rinsed off completely! Ideally, it should be stored upright, but my girlfriend left it lying in a drawer for months, and its shape has not changed. It does have a slightly sticky texture, which will attract lint, so try to keep it in a storage box of some kind--even its packaging, if you don't mind the space it takes up.

The Please comes in a basic, clear plastic clamshell display box. The edges are not sealed, so it doesn't need to be cut open, and it can be reused for storage. It's not great for gift-giving, as it's clear, and it's also an awkward shape for gift-wrapping.

Regarding my hatred of O-rings: I once actually had one of my inner labia get caught between a rubber O-ring and a silicone toy!! That was a painful experience, of course, but I also dislike the feel of an O-ring and its connecting straps against my sensitive parts during sex. My girlfriend discovered that she can wear a pair of snug-fitting boys' briefs, and simply insert the Please (or other smallish toy) through the convenience opening in front. Now if we could just find something similar, made of a non-absorbent material!
