Something close to mind altering.

This toy is hard to separate from the manufacturer's hype. They promise hands-free super-orgasms. This hasn't been my experience, but I haven't put in hours and hours using it either. In actual use, it's a kind of big prostate massager that can be used hands-free and gives some of the most interesting prostate massage sensations I've ever experienced.

extremely useful review
This one is bound to be divisive. First, its recommended use and the mythology surrounding it sound new agey at best, and a little crazy at worst. They sell the promise of a hands-free super-orgasm. I have no doubt that it's possible, especially with practice and dedication. But for most people, it's an enhancement to partner or solo sex. For that you really only have to play with it a little bit, get used to it, and then there are some pretty incredible orgasms to be had. Let me back up.

This is Aneros' large size prostate stimulator. It's made of hard silicone, super easy to clean, and very solidly built. You're not going to break this thing. It has a very stripped-down (some would say clinical) design. If you're looking for fancy design, look elsewhere. Usage can be a bit strange as well. This is designed to be well lubricated (seriously, you can't put too much lube on this thing) and then inserted. Now, rather then moving it around with your hand, or your partner's hand, you squeeze and release your butt muscles to move it up and down.

It does take some practice, but I found with about 2 sessions of 15-20 minutes each, I had found the most pleasurable way to move it around. It can get pretty intense; there's something about the way this thing rubs your prostate that gets into your head. Let me back up again.

It's pretty big. If you're an anal beginner, go with something smaller from the Aneros lineup. I have to warm up a bit to get this inserted, and it's possible to hurt yourself if you go too fast. That said, the sensation of fullness is very pleasurable. Once it's in, the neck is small enough to not cause any trouble, and it's very comfortable for extended sessons (I've had it in for an hour or more to see what happens if you wear it while doing regular activities. The answer is a fair bit, but nothing that contributes materially to an orgasm.) The part you have to watch out for is that second bump. You can get a bit cocky once the head is in and stretch a bit hard on that second bump if you're not careful and going slow.

While the manufacturer recommends just using your own internal muscles, it can also be fun to move this toy by hand in a rocking motion or whatever floats your boat. The mythology is less important than having fun.

The balls at the end actually feel really good. I'm not sure the back one serves much purpose, but it isn't annoying or painful and the front one pushes nicely into the front of your prostate. All in all, the design feels very well thought out and singlemindedly dedicated to prostate stimulation. And it works. If you take ten to fifteen minutes to use it to massage your prostate and then, when you're fully revved up, finish yourself with your hand, you'll experience some seriously intense orgasms. What really adds to the experience, that I didn't expect when first trying it, is that the muscles that contract involuntarily during orgasm move this toy around a LOT. So as you're orgasming, the stimulation to your prostate gets more intense and you can't stop it. Intense. I seriously recommend using this solo a few times before you get a partner involved. Just so you know how you're going to react.

That said, it's very much compatible with partner sex: most sex motions will make it rub your prostate, it feels great, intensifies orgasm, and the involuntary contractions are just as much fun with a partner as when you're alone. It WILL reduce your control over your orgasms, so if you're into edging then know you'll have to not get quite as close to the edge as you would normally.

This review is long and I realize that it's mostly about the use and mythos, but I feel like there's little to say beyond that. It's a solidly built toy that is easy to clean, does one kind-of-unique thing well, and is probably worth your time. Especially if you give it a chance on its own terms and do some work practicing.
Experience
My wife hates the shape of this toy. Thinks it looks like a uterus and refuses to go near it. I can't use it with her unless she can't see me put it in. I still use it with her, and it definitely gives me the most intense and longest (especially longest) orgasms I've ever had.

This is actually made of hard plastic, not silicone. FYI.

Thanks. I knew that, but was looking at their other products that were silicone and doubted my old information. Goes to show you, trust your gut. My bad.
