Speed Bumps for the Bum

Included in my ever growing collection of silicone toys are "His and Hers butt plugs". Namely the Jolly Jack by Happy Valley. You might ask "Why two of them?". Well I just didn't want to share, and besides they come in such cute colors I couldn't resist. I bought the blue one for me and the silver, which has a really cool marble look, for hubby.
I chose the Jolly Jack after looking through the large selection of butt plugs on Edenfantasys and deciding I really liked the look of the three graduated balls on it. And I was right, they feel amazing. Personally I don't think I would care for a plain butt plug, but that's just me. The Jolly Jack is comfortable but you definitely notice the bumps, especially when the plug is moved in and out.
It is 5 1/4 inches long of which 4 1/2 inches are insertable. The circumference of the smallest ball is 4 inches, graduating to the largest one being 4 1/2 inches. Tapering down from the three balls is a 1 1/4 inch long neck ending at a narrow but sufficiently thick base. The base makes a great handle for thrusting and, though I've never tried it, would probably work well in a harness. I'm also not sure how this would be for extended wear, but the base is narrow enough and comfortable enough, that it just might work.
I also decided on this one because it is made of 100% silicone, which is non-porous and completely sterilizable. Being sterilizable is very important when you're talking about anal toys or toys that are to be shared. You can either put it in the top shelf of the dishwasher or boil it for 3 minutes, and it's good as new. Most of the time though, if you're not sharing, a good cleaning with antibacterial soap or toy cleaner is all you need.
I also love the feel of silicone toys! This one in particular is nice and firm, but still bendable. To the touch it is soft and smooth. Though as with all of my silicone toys it is a dust magnet. This is easily remedied by just washing it with a bit of warm water and soap before you begin to play and then again afterward.
Silicone is also a great conductor for vibrations. I just hold a vibrator at the base of the Jolly Jack and I can feel it all the way through. If you like vibrations and you haven't tried this yet, do it! You'll love it!
One word of warning, do not use silicone lube with silicone toys, it will ruin them. The best lubricants to use with silicone toys are the water based ones.

Experience
I bought the Jolly Jacks as a little surprise for hubby. Just my way of letting him know I was interesting in trying a little anal play. Along with the butt plugs I bought some Maximus lube and the video "The Better Sex Guide to Anal Pleasure". I put it all in a box, wrapped it up and put a huge bow on top.
Just as we were about to start our date night, I gave him his gift. When he opened it he laughed, but he was all for it.

This was his first time trying an anal toy. Even though it's rounded at the tip it actually went in quite easily and he found it pleasurable. We still both love our Jolly Jacks. Both of them still get a lot of use. I have sterilized them by boiling for three minutes several times, and they always come out perfectly. I think they'll probably last us a lifetime.
