Use

The name says it all: This is an anal douche. Meant to clean out your anal cavity to ensure clean/safe anal fun.

This particular product is a latex bulb, with a ribbed attachment for easier -more pleasurable- insertion. Its quite easy to use, even though it does not include directions.

This product is one-size-fits-all. Great for those beginners who are squeamish towards anal sex, and wants to be clean going into it. And its also great for those experienced in anal sex/play who want the feeling of being 'full' and clean.

Material / Texture

The bulb is a 7 1/2 inch latex bulb. It's pretty sturdy and may be hard to squeeze for some with smaller or weak hands. Being latex, it does have a very distinct smell that can transfer to your hands. It does go away after a few uses.

The applicator and attachment are a very hard plastic. There is no give or bend to them at all; but they are very smooth and seamless.

Design / Shape / Size

There is no discreet way to describe this product - it's a douche and it looks like one.

The large black latex bulb is about 7 1/2 inches long, and fits a little big in an average size hand. It's not the easiest thing to squeeze, but it's manageable.

The ribbed attachment is roughly 6 inches long, and about an inch in diameter. The tip of the attachment screws off for easy cleaning, but stays securely on while in use.

For me, the size of everything was just about perfect. The bulb holds just over a cup of water, so you get a nice full feeling, but you're not running over. The ribbed attachment is very smooth and, when fully inserted, actually feels quite nice.

Performance

So after a long, stressful, day at work I thought the perfect way to end my day would be to review this product. I opened the box and set everything out on the bathroom counter. I washed it all down really fast with just some soap and hot water (I do this with all my new toys/products).

I filled up a bowl with some nice lukewarm water and proceeded to fill up the bulb. To fill the bulb you squeeze the bulb and put the tip under the water and release to draw the water in. You continue until its all the way full.

Then i snapped the attachment on, and made sure the tip was screwed on really tight...just for good measure.
Insertion time - I must say, i got excited!
I used my good ole Water Soluble anal lube, and applied a generous amount to both the product and myself. It slid right in, no resistance. The ribs made it very enjoyable! I squeezed the bulb and felt my ass being filled with the warm water. Once I was full, i reluctantly pulled it out, and stood there for a minute, enjoying the fullness. Then I did the inevitable..I 'released' the water, and repeated the process 2 more times until the water was clear.

The bulb, even filled with water, was pretty easy to squeeze (for me, I have large hands)
    • Easy to use

Care and Maintenance

As with all anal toys/products, cleaning is very important!
You can take this product apart and clean every aspect of it, inside and out. The attachment's tip screws off so you can really get in and clean this.
Because you obviously cannot use a condom with this, I would not suggest sharing. There are just too many little places (the tip for example) that bacteria can hide.

Water Soluble lube is the best choice for this product, but if you don't have it, any lube will work just as good.
    • Easy to clean

Packaging

The packaging is NOT discreet at all. There is a large muscular man in some kind of thong or what-not on the cover and large letters announcing that this is, in fact, an anal douche.
    • Not discreet
Follow-up commentary
I have been using this about once a moth for a good clean out before anal play, and I'm still loving the ease of use. And its still as fun as the first time I tried it!

would you say it's harder to squeeze than say a tennis ball? It's such a difficult thing to convey through words alone. I love the idea of this and have been looking for one for a short while.
Do you think it could be boiled to sterilise it or perhaps go in the dishwasher without it melting the actual bulb?
Great Review

I wouldnt say it was harder to squeeze than a tennis ball, but its rather large in the hand...which makes it harder to squeeze.

As for sterilizing it. From what I could find out, its best not to boil or put the latex bulb in the dishwasher...there is a good chance it would melt it. Soaking it in some good Hot soapy water would be the best you could do. The platic attachments however, would probably do well in the dishwasher, on the top rack (or in a basket type deal)

thanks for your help, Wasn't sure if there would be an issue with the bulb and boiling/putting in the dishwasher etc. I understand what you're saying about the squeezing now, but I guess the bulb has to be big in order to expel enough water to get the job done.

Just lastly, are you able to fully separate the hard plastic from the bulb? it's hard to tell from the photos?
I appreciate your help, thanx

    • What is a good started toy?
    • Before using toys anally, you might want to practice with a finger, just to get yourself used to the sensation.

As for toys, it's best to start small. Something like this plug or a small dildo would work well (Eden has plenty to choose from, but these are my personal recommendations). The first anal toy I used was Flexi Felix, and while it's a wonderful toy for beginners, as the beads start very small and get larger gradually, the popping sensation that comes with removing them can be a little shocking if you aren't used to it (I loved it, hehehe!).

Go slow, use lots of lube, and if you feel pain, STOP and slow down or try again later. Anal tissues are delicate and can tear easily, so you have to be careful. You might want to try a lube shooter to help get lube up inside you more efficiently.

I guess I can give some advice about first-time products in this specific area. I'm a big fan for life-like materials and have been using them from the start, I have to say that with enough care and hygiene there is no need for the "bacterial" paranoia you might encounter here.

So that's the list of products I'd personally recommend:

This was the first product we have bought together with my Ex-Wife, in my opinion the best start but you grow out quickly:
Blush UR3 anal starter – probe

      The silicone alternative is:
      Sedeux Please

      To grow up I'd suggest:
      Pure Skin Player jr

      The silicone alternative is:
      VIP Super Soft

      For Butt Plugs:

The best training of all times (after you grow out of the beginners toys):
      Triple Ripple

Best Butt Plug (I guess many will agree):
      Ryder

And finally my personal favorite among plugs:
      Gapers Organic

Generally speaking that's my product advice. For lubes you have to look for yourself what suits you more. Just don't use silicone lube on silicone toys, it really kills them. The rest as usual, hygiene, foreplay, foreplay, lube -> and plenty of fun ;)

  • Is this messy?
    • I am interested in buying this but I have never done an anal douche. How messy is it? Do you end up with excess water coming out?

Water in = water out, in my experiences. I don't have this product in particular, but I'm a supporter of anal douching. Pretty much eliminates any surprises and boosts one's confidence. As far as messy, you should be good as long as you use over a toilet. Just make sure that you leave a few minutes for all the water to work its way out.

In the review I touched on that issue at the end:

In total I’ve used the product 5 separate times, 4 with the thin nozzle and 1 with the ribbed nozzle; every time the thin nozzle was used there was no mess, the one time the ribbed nozzle was used water ended up ‘leaking’ everywhere. That was enough for me to decide I didn’t like it. I haven’t tried the ribbed nozzle again and I don’t really intend to, not only was it messy, but contrary to what the box said, it wasn’t very ‘pleasurable’ either.

If you're using the thin nozzle it shouldn't be too much of an issue, but the ribbed one I'd suggest using in the tub just in case.
