Talk about being anal retentive...

For the price it is, this product is more than worth the expense and wait for delivery: three black little gems that are sure to make anyone's butt a happy one. Versatility and usability in different settings are, by far, the highlight of these toys.

Use

These three beauties were specifically made to be used anally. If you're into anal stimulation, this is a great place to start for toys, without a doubt! The bases of the three plugs have slight indentations in them to serve as a (rather effective) suction cup. In addition, the bases themselves have a rather large flare and would easily fit an O-ring harness. That being said, it can be used most effectively attached to any flat, smooth surface, in a harness with a partner, or manually.

Material / Texture

There was no odor detected upon opening; only when it is put right up to the nose can one detect any sort of smell from the plugs. These three plugs are made from TPR, a very common - and safe - material used to make sex toys. They are phthalate-free and smooth to the touch, with a little bit of give to them (as just about all TPR has). With the wonderful combination of the bumps, angled shafts, large flared bases, and three sizes to choose from, it gives the user the best of a butt plug, probe, and beads - all in one. With the sizes covering such a broad range, this toy is perfect for anyone from beginner to intermediate-advanced in anal play.

Design / Shape / Size

The design, while not terribly innovative or groundbreaking, was very satisfying and suitable for its intended purpose. The three plugs followed a basic pattern of a smooth shaft with round "beads" added to them for texture; and so, it can be worn if desired. The advantage of having three included in one package (ranging from finger-sized to a rather large, more advanced plug) allows for anyone to enjoy it, from a novice to someone looking to expand their anal toy collection. All three plugs have a base with an indentation in them to be used as a suction cup. And, upon looking closer at the largest one, the base of it could easily hold a bullet as well. With no attached moving parts, motors, or metal bits, this toy makes for the perfect travel companion.

Performance

The toy is simple to clean, clings firmly onto a smooth, flat surface, can be used with an O-ring harness, and - it being TPR - it's safer than most materials when it comes to sex toys. The only thing that might be better improved is making the "step" between the plugs not quite so large. With water-based lubricant, which the toy holds onto quite nicely, it moves with ease and is quite slippery. After being accustomed to one, it's not particularly difficult to go to the next, but a fair amount of resistance is met.

Care and Maintenance

Warm, soapy water will do the trick just fine. Cleansing wipes for toys would do just as well. The manufacturer, California Exotic Novelties, recommends using only water-based lubricants with these toys. And, of course, if the toy is being shared between partners, always use a condom!

Packaging

The packaging is simple and straightforward - not covered in naked people and certainly not overly-done, like someone with too much makeup on. It is presented just as it actually is. The instructions for care and use are on the side of the package. The box can be used for storage, if necessary. The only issue found with packaging is that the disclaimer states it's to be "sold as a novelty only." They are butt plugs, undoubtedly, and advertised and sold as such.

Thanks! This was the first thing I got from EF, and I practically tore open the packaging, and rushed home to test them out. I jumped into it pretty hard, because I got through the first one just fine, and the 2nd one down to the last ball on the bottom, and I just couldn't quite pass it. Hopefully the follow-up review when I write it, I will have been able to conquer all three with relative ease.
