The Love Pacifier Advanced: Could Be Right, Could Not

This plug is a great beginner plug for someone looking to get into extended wear, a mild prostate "toucher", or just for a good old full feeling during sex. The flashing along the parting line may need to be trimmed down a bit more, but in all it has been a great addition to my ever growing collection of sexual enhancers.

Use

The Love Pacifier Advanced is designed to be a comfortable to wear, simple to insert, easy to clean butt plug that is both functional and capable of being worn for extended periods. Well, it's almost all that. I believe this toy is best suited for beginner to intermediate plug users due to its size and design. It can be used during solo play, foreplay, with a partner or during longer periods of wear (more on all of these later).

The Love Pacifier Advanced is a safe toy for anal use. Its hooped ring, though softer than it appears online, is a great stopper from being lost in your bum. There area few design flaws that could be labeled as "uncomfortable", but not unsafe.

Material / Texture

This plug is made of Silicone, making it comfortable, easy to clean (dishwasher top rack no soap), and flexible. The flexibility adds to the experience making it more elastic and forgiving than non-flexible materials like glass and metals.

There isn't any textures that ad to stimulation. The head is design to make it a little more easily inserted, the ring makes it easy to pull out as well as making it safe for insertion into the bum without being lost.

There is one flaw in the material. Obviously those of you in the know understand that injection molded production are created with a two part mold, or clamshell mold. When injected with molten plastic, or in this case Silicone, there is what's called flashing. This is molted material squeezed out between the two mold halves. Generally this is trimmed off, usually to great precision, but here there is a parting line with a little bit of flashing left behind. It has been noticeable during insertion. I did take a razor to the toy and trimmed of excess so be sure to watch for this.

Design / Shape / Size

The design of the Love Pacifier Advanced is pretty great. The ring handle, like I mentioned, enables safety as well as a way to pull the toy out. The head is slightly pointed for easier insertion too. But, there is one gripe. The neck between the head and the handle is very soft, making it difficult for inserting; it's just not rigid enough. One good thing about the space between the head and handle is it is a bit longer than other plugs I have used, making final positioning quite comfortable for my bum (basically added space for my sphincter).

The plug is a small size so it should be easier to hide for travel, though if anyone who knows what a butt plug is sees it, it will probably give itself away.

Performance

This is performs very well I think. It becomes so comfortable once inserted for me it’s quite easy to forget it’s there actually (which really might be a downside for some people). It is just about long enough to reach my prostate, but not quite. The hooped handle may be too large to easily hide beneath clothing for long play, but it’s most likely possible.

Care and Maintenance

Being made of Silicone is nice since it’s easy to clean. I usually use warm water and soap after use, but it is also easily cleaned on the top rack of a dishwasher without any detergent, just hot water. I store it in a cool dry dark place away from other silicone toys and only use was based lubes with it. Silicone based lubes are not recommended.

Nice review, the info on the flashing was very informative. I have the beginner one and I also took a razor blade to it and man it made a huge difference. BTW, if you're looking for something a little longer you may want to look into this toy whenever it comes out. That's what I'm waiting on now.

  • Thoughts on how to get rid of that seam?
    • I know the seam is a bother for some people who have this, so I was trying to think of a way to fix it. Sanding it, even if you sand it with a very fine grit, would leave scratches, which could gather bacteria... So I'm stumped. Maybe melting it slightly at the seam and smoothing it down while still hot? I'm not sure how silicone reacts to that.

      I guess you could also take a straight edge razor to it and shave it off.

      If anyone else has suggestions, that would be awesome :)

      I always start by trying to grab it and pull it off depending on how big it is. My Ridge Rider had a bunch around the ridges that easily pulled right off.



      The only thing I have found to work is a brand new razor blade (Scalpel is better) and a careful hand. Problem is it is to easy to cut into the rest of the toy. The seam will try and fold over requiring more pressure. Once it does start to cut, you have gone to far. :(



      If you have a Dremel with a small sanding attachment that may work a bit better than sandpaper. But like you say it will leave scratches that could be worse than the seam. Thankfully silicone is non porous throughout so you would just need to make sure to clean those areas good. A old toothbrush works great.



      Fire from a lighter typically will not melt it. Even if it did it may leave it hard and probably rough.



      You really have to decide if the seam is a bother or if you can live with it. In the case of the Pacifier, I can not feel it during use so I left it alone.
