This is not a beginner's toy. If you want to get your boyfriend interested in anal play and you buy this towards that goal, you may not succeed in "introducing" him in a gentle manner.

The Severin anal plug was not my first anal toy. Even now, a couple of years after getting into this type of play, the Severin has enough girth, length, and flares to keep me experiencing many types of sensations.

One of the great things about this plug is the dramatic flares followed by the narrow area at the base on the plug. It's really a pain in the ass, quite literally, to have toys not stay where you put them. That doesn't happen with this one. I can reliably put the Severin where I want it, grab another toy, say a Hitachi Magic Wand, play with that one, and fully trust that the Severin isn't going anywhere.

The Severin is a strap-on compatible toy, which I love. The penetration isn't deep but you can certainly feel the sensations. It might be nice if it were just a bit longer though.

Being a silicone toy, of course is can be boiled or cleaned with a bleach solution. Only major consideration with silicone toys is to avoid silicone lube like the plague. It will successfully ruin your lovely silicone toys. However, it is a good trade-off for having high quality, long lasting, scent-free, firm sex toys. Silicone anal toys are, in my opinion, the best way to go.

I enjoy engaging in anal training with this toy. In other words, wearing it casually while not engaged in other sexual activity, towards to goal of improving my ability to handle larger toys. I've been able to train with the Severin for about eight hours at a stretch, but again, as I said above, I'm not a beginner and this toy is not for a beginner.
