Dai-Do #2 - steel dildo by Big Teaze Toys - review by Eva Schwaltz

The Dai-Do #2 is a serious metal dildo. It’s straight shape may look like it won’t do anything for the G-spot, but the bulged head feels larger than it actually is due to the material. It has a good amount of weight which is concentrated so it is not difficult to yield.

This is not an anal safe dildo. Metal becomes very slick when lubed up, so I’m not going to recommend anal because I don’t want anyone to end up in an awkward situation. There are much better anal safe metal items available on Eden.

Like glass, metal holds temperatures really well. It takes a bit of time to warm up to body temperature but you can also warm it up or cool it down with water for some thrilling possibilities.

The Dai-Do #2 is made of aluminum alloy. It’s not as heavy as stainless steel but it still has all the properties of metal. All the toys available in this line are available in black or red. I chose the red because it’s something different and not often seen in metal dildos.

There is a black silicone band close to one end which is supposed to help with grip, but I was able to stretch it and lift it up and you can see a hole that the band covers. I suppose this is so the little plate with the company name can stay in place, but I would have preferred that the logo was etched onto the dildo instead because fluids can easily get trapped in this band. So this is why it loses a star, but it really is a great dildo.

The #2 has no texture and this is why I chose it, but there are others in this line which have interesting textures. Since it is so smooth only a small drop of lubricant is needed, even the silicone band becomes quite slick once any lube gets on it. Generally the rule is don’t use silicone on silicone toys, but the silicone band is insignificant so go ahead and use whatever type of lube on this toy.

This is a very beginner friendly dildo. It’s 7 ¼” in length with an insertable length of 4 ½” but it is easy to go over this point since the silicone band doesn’t stick out. The head is 4 ¾” in circumference while the remainder of the shaft is 4” in circumference.

If you had this laying around, you could probably pass it off as some sort of massage tool. I would advise against traveling with it because security will probably confiscate it, thinking it’s a weapon.

When I first opened the package, I was a little underwhelmed by this. In use, however, it out performed any expectations I had of it. It looks and acts nothing like the Pure Wand but I couldn’t help but draw some comparisons. The Dai-Do #2 is much easier to yield since the weight is concentrated in one end. It doesn’t hone in on the G-spot like the Pure Wand but it still manages to stimulate it, but if you need a real strong curve, the #2 will not work for you. I prefer a thrusting motion which is more difficult to do with the Pure Wand so I’m really glad I chose this.

The Dai-Do line of dildos is not as well known as I feel they deserve. There are some real gems to be added into one’s collection from this wonderful line of toys so I hope some of you get to check one of them out for yourself.

Metal is pretty easy to care for. Simply washing it with soap and water will do. You can also sterilize it by boiling it or wiping it down with a 10 per cent bleach solution.

It comes with a drawstring satin pouch which will conceal it somewhat, however metal will play nice with any material you store it with.
