The Colt Throbber is designed as an anal vibrator, but being me, I had to be innovative and also test this toy out as a clitoral vibe and as a vaginal vibe! To my pleasant surprise, the Colt pleased me in all three areas, but it does it's best job in the anal penetration arena!

Both beginners to advanced users can enjoy the gentle ribbed texture of the Colt. Vaginally, the tip is a bit too pointy. But that is a strength in the anal field. Clitorally, the solid four vrooms can push most of you over the edge. And anally, the ribs will have you moaning.

The colt is a solid performer for individuals on a budget, for those looking for a fun new tub/shower buddy, and for those just looking for a good bargain. Both males and females can enjoy this vibe anally.

The Colt Throbber is made of PU coated plastic, a 7 on the Eden Safety scale, and it's phalsphates free! Keep in mind that plastic toys are hard, absolutely no give! For me, this was an issue when trying to take the length of the Colt, and it left the back wall of my vagina throbbing! The pointy, unforgiving end of this wild pony left me whining rather than moaning, but anally, the pointy end made for easy insertion! There is a smooth finish to the coating of the toy, with no smell or taste present.

I'm actually quite a fan of the ribbing! Both anally and vaginally the texture added to the sensation. Unfortunately, the top 2 3/4" of the toy is smooth, no texture, with a very noticeable seam at the switch of the texture (there are also two less noticeable seams down parallel sides of the ribbing). A vagina will usually be between 3-6 inches deep, but ranges from 6-9 inches when fully aroused. My particular vaginal canal is on the shorter side, so for me, I would have liked the ribbing to start earlier, because as I said above, I can't handle the entire length of the Colt, and I'm missing out on some of the texture when I am making longer strokes! That being said, the change of texture from smooth to ribbed is also a fun sensation to experience. Annnd, it's very nice anally =D The length doesn't bother me nearly as much and the texture change is even a cooler sensation!

I would suggest this toy for both beginners and advanced users, as everyone needs to experience ribbing in their toy collection and at this price point it's a pretty solid deal!

The smooth to ribbed transition is great for beginning anal experience as the smooth portion slides easily in to the anus allowing the sphincters of your rectum to release and relax slightly before accepting the ribbing. In the case of anal use, I appreciate that 2 3/4" of smoothness!

At 8 1/2", the Colt is not easy to hide, but he is discreet in his basic black and red colors. It's not a purse toy, but it could slide easily into an overnight bag, tucked away in a sock or rolled in to some clothing. He can also happily live in a nightstand drawer or as a member of your present toy box. The PU coated plastic doesn't attract lint and pet hair to; As I mentioned above, there is a little much length in this toy for me vaginally. But the good news is, for those of you who love the length the Colt has got it! Also, the length is useful when experimenting with the Colt anally, as there is no stopper on this toy, the extra length gives you something to hold on to while using the toy anally. I don't usually use the whole length of this toy anally, in fact I hold on to a little bit of the ribbing for better grip (especially with all the lube used for anal or if I am using the colt in the tub/shower).

I like the simple design of the colt. Vaginally, it isn't a sensational vibe. Anally, it does it's job fairly well. Heck, it even works clitorally because it's about 4 vrooms on its high setting. Overall, it's a dang good all purpose buy for its price, and it is made pretty okay considering the price point as well. I mean, it's no luxury vibe, but it does it's job! It's perfect for those experimenting with texture and anal play. It's also perfect for someone looking for a basic all around vibe that will get more than one job done.

The vibrations of the Colt hit about 4 vrooms on the highest setting, which of course is my personal favorite. You cycle through the vibration speeds with a spin dial-base, which I absolutely despise on all toys. Especially anally, where I generally hold the toy from the base, a spin dial is easy to bump and accidentally change the intensity during use. A total drag. Although the controls are easy to use, quick to turn on and off, and very adjustable, the dial-base just lowers the pleasure for me because turning my wrist for comfort during use also changes my vibe speed! However, I don't use the full length of the Colt to make up for this little issue, and I grip around a little bit of the ribbing. The ribbing is easy to keep a hold of and solves my dial changing problem!

The vibrations are buzzy and a little loud. Probably 3 bees. But they are deep and run though nearly the entire shaft of the toy, although they are most powerful in the top 1/3 near the smooth pointed end. When used clitorally, the vibrations weaken ever so slightly when the toy is used with pressure against your clit. Vaginally (if not fully inserted to the awful point) this toy is also pretty effective!

In the water, the Colt doesn't miss a beat. However, make sure you get that batter cap screwed on tightly!

Oh, by the way, the Colt uses two C batteries. Bummmmmmer. So far, I've ran him for about an hour between playing with him in and out of the shower and having him buzz a bit while I write the review. So far, he hasn't weakened in his power. But I'll keep you updated on if he guzzles down the batteries. I would have liked to see him hit 5 vrooms with 2 C batteries, but he just didn't...

PU coated plastic is compatible with water based and silicone based lubes. I prefer silicone in the shower to keep the Colt good and slick! Your Colt will be easy to care for, clean him with simple mild soap and water or toy cleaner. However, he is not steralizable, so if you are going to be sharing use a condom!

Store away from heat (and not in the shower!!) to keep him in top performing condition! Storing him in the shower will allow moisture to break into the batter compartment.

Oh, side note, leave the paper piece in the battery compartment with those big ole C batteries...or else your Colt is going to be BEYOND buzzy!!!!

The Colt Throbber has lack luster, basic plastic packaging with very little information. Good News? It's recyclable!

Why is the Colt not a 5 star toy? Because he's a bit buzzy and loud, and because he runs on C batteries! C batteries are expensive, and when the Colt needs a new battery boost I am going to have to run to the store! Also, he isn't the perfect all around vibe, and he isn't silicone. The Colt is on the right track to excellence, but he just falls slightly short. A very nice anal ride, but not the best one I've had. The beaded texture does a little more for me as I have advanced through the anal ranks than this gentle ribbing, but the Colt is a good boy, and he is a welcome member to my toy chest!

I'm actually fairly impressed with the versatility I found in the Colt. He isn't bad at anything really! I look forward to continuing to use and experiment with him and I am glad to have him in my toy family. I've had some pretty solid anal orgasms in our short relationship, so I will certainly be keeping him around, though I will probably keep his mainly as an anal toy, his intended purpose!
