The Violet Ripple is a beautiful Pyrex glass butt plug. I have a couple of toys for vaginal temperature play, but I wanted to try that type of sensation in a butt plug. Glass holds temperatures wonderfully. I had this toy in my air conditioned home at 73 degrees and it took this plug over 5 minutes to reach my body temperature. I enjoy cooling sensations, and generally an air conditioned room is cool enough for me, but you can put this toy in the fridge to cool down even further, or run it under warm water to warm it up.

This plug is made by SSA glass. It is smooth and seamless. There are no air bubbles or flaws. This gorgeous plug has a simple, but elegant shape. The shape reminds me of a tear drop with a wine glass stem base. The total length is 4 3/4 inches long, with a 4 1/4 inch insertable length. The circumference of this toy is 5 inches in circumference at the largest part of the tear drop, and curves down into neck that is 3/4 inches in circumference. So, it's not a tiny little plug. I also want to mention that because this plug is made of glass, it is hard and unyielding, so it feels a little larger when inserted than a plug made of a softer material.

The teardrop shape makes for easy, gradual insertion, and the sudden curve under the widest portion of the bulb helps keep this plug in place nicely. While standing, the heavier weight of this plug does feel as if it is pulling down sightly. Like it's trying to push it's self out. It doesn't push out, but it feels almost like it's going to. Also, the ridged base of the plug kind of uncomfortably presses against my cheeks while standing. I did have a little more luck while sitting. Sitting Indian style on the sofa, or lying down with legs relaxed was alot more comfortable, for me. I want to mention, even with the comfortable positions I am not able to wear this plug for extended periods of time. About 30 minutes with this plug and I'm done.

The Bent graduate is made of Pyrex glass. Pyrex glass is made to resist cracking when subjected to rapid temperature change. So it's perfect for temperature play. Warm it up with some warm water, or cool it down with cool water or pop it in the fridge for a few minutes.

The Violet Ripple is easy to clean. It's boilable, bleachable, and can even be put in the dishwasher to sterilize. For everyday cleaning, wash with antibacterial soap or toy cleaner and rinse with warm water. When boiling please be aware that glass holds temperatures alot longer than other materials. It takes far longer for the glass to cool down, so be careful when handling.

This plug comes in a beautiful purple, faux suede, drawstring, padded bag with a hot pink satin lining. The bag is much bigger than needed for this plug (10.5 x 4.75) so I use the bag for other toys and store my plug in another bag. I just love when a toy comes with a storage bag, it makes things so easy to store.

Glass toys are compatible with water, silicone or oil based lubes.

Before each use, give your glass toys a once over to make sure there are no chips or cracks. It's always better to be safe than sorry.

I have not used this plug during sex. So I can't give any information on that, but I am going to give it a try and I'll include that in my follow-up.

The violet ripple is a high quality toy, with a reasonable price point. It's beautiful and easy to care for. I have to say, I most often reach for a plug that is made of silicone because it has give to it. Glass is ridged and unyielding, and not always my material of choice, but I love the option for temperature play. It's held up well for me and I am very happy with this piece of pyrex glass.
