First of all, let me say I'm an anal...intermediate. I enjoy anal sex and play, and have used various toys and plugs to differing levels of satisfaction. So far, my two favorite materials for anal play are glass and silicone, and the Tulip plug fits into one of those categories.

Tantus, the maker of Tulip, is one of my go-to brands for sex toys. I love the quality, the innovative shapes, the colors and choices that Tantus provides for its customers. You can have pretty (like the pink Tulip I have) or practical. The toys are made well, have no funny odors, and seem to last quite a long time. Plus, the variety!

But getting back to the butt...the butt plug, that is. The Tulip is a great choice for those people who have tried a smaller plug and are looking for a little more excitement. At a circumference of 1 5/8" (not shabby), I certainly wouldn't recommend this for an anal virgin. It's roughly the size of an "average" penis girth, but without the give that human flesh has. If you're into solo play and haven't been stretched at all, start with a skinnier plug.

This plug is delicious if you are into something a bit bigger. The Tulip tapers, slowly expanding as you push it in, giving you a choice of how you insert: quickly or slowly. The silicone itself is rather smooth, but I recommend a water-based lube to really ease into it. The neck of the Tulip is long enough, at least for my body, to keep the plug from popping out. And one of the best features? The end. Curved so that it nestles between your cheeks, you can easily wear the Tulip plug for hours, standing or sitting.

Cleanup is easy with silicone as well, which can be boiled for sanitation or wiped down with disinfectant wipes. It's even dishwasher safe! Being able to boil and sterilize is a great bonus for anal toys.
