Let me begin by saying that I am somewhat new to anal play. I have used butt beads and anal probes but wanted something that I could wear during sex that did not require a hand to hold it (I would rather use my hands for other activities). I started reading on EdenFantasy’s website and found that butt plugs were used for exactly that purpose: hands-free anal play.
After searching through all the plugs, I decided to try out the Tristan butt plug. Oh boy, that was the best idea I have had. This butt plug is wonderful!
I must say that it took some practice and coaxing to get the plug into my butt; but once it was in, it was the most wonderful feeling I have ever had. I tried it by myself the first time I used it. I used plenty of lube and gently worked in a little of the head at a time. Finally, it slipped right in and settled into place.
The base of the plug is a great shape and sits nicely between your butt cheeks. You don’t even feel the base is there. I walked around the house, and every little movement sent fabulous sensations up and down my spine. There was no discomfort, and it was really easy to remove.
The second time I used the plug, I had a partner insert it. Having a partner insert it is the way to go. Make sure your partner teases your butt hole with the head to prepare you for the plug being inserted. It really helps elevate the discomfort when you do this.
Now, I had wanted to use this plug during sex to stimulate the butt, and it definitely does that. The best way, I found, to benefit from the plug during sex is to do it doggie style. Oh, the feeling of both man and plug filling your holes makes you want to scream, and I did… several times.

I think Veteran makes some good suggestions there, but I was wondering if the problem with staying in place has to do with the base or if it is the head/neck difference. If it is just the base, then you might consider trimming some of the material off the base of the Tristan so that it is able to rest more naturally. I tend to favor plugs with flat bases for extended wear because I feel like the handle ones aren't as comfortable if I choose to sit down. If the problem is really head/neck difference, you might consider the Ryder link (which I really love), and the Joe Rock link
