Slimline anal rocket - vibrating probe discontinued by Topco Sales - review by Sapphire Pet

Let me start by saying WOW! This is my first anal toy and I'm considering quitting my job and ignoring all my friends and family just so I have more time alone with my new little friend! I could kiss my mailman square on the lips for bringing me that precious little box! Not that he would mind, but it may make things a bit awkward in the long run! At first glance, this doesn't look like much with its simple packaging and coy little demeanor, but it's all an act! Great vibrations from the vibe, gentle yet firm texture and ribbing, and perfect sizing for a beginner leads this to being one of my favorite toys! I have thoroughly enjoyed this solo, but can definitely see the fun side of sharing the experience!

I have to say, when I first opened the packaging, there was a strong odor. It was a very sharp odor and my nose did stuff a bit from it...okay, it made my nose burn, truth be known. Now, I'm a "sniffer," so despite the fact I could smell it without close inspection, I sniffed it anyway. It's kind of a mix of plastic and fingernail polish remover. I have washed it several times and it has gotten a bit better, but it's still there. I personally love the toy enough to overlook this, but it may be a bit of a turn off for some.

It is made of Jel-Lee, which is Poly Vinyl Chloride according to the information from the website. The packaging does state that it's waterproof, but I haven't tested that theory...yet. The case of the battery compartment doesn't appear to seal tightly enough for it to be completely waterproof, and I will cry if something happens to it! There is a slight "sticky" feeling to the shaft, but I have found this to be true with all jelly type toys. It does attract lint...terribly! Or in the case of my home, pet fur (everything in my house has pet fur on it...), which is not a plus for my toys! I would highly suggest, when storing this toy, you make sure it doesn't come in contact with your other toys to avoid any damage.

The shaft is ribbed and reminds me of bamboo with the way the ridges and all look. Trust me when I say this is a great thing, especially when adding a little stroking action.

The Slimline has a great design. As mentioned before, the shaft has segments on it that look a bit like bamboo. Each segment is just a bit thinner in the middle, then widens out to the ridges. There's a slightly larger "bulb" at the end. I would have to say it looks a bit like a finger when it's bent; an alien finger, but still a finger, with digits and all. The base is only moderately wider so it does not have the "base" that is desired in most anal toys, but I haven't found this to be a problem at all. The shaft itself has a sleeve that fits over the vibe. It takes a little bit of effort to work it all the way around the vibe and get it inserted fully. The shaft is solid and once you get the sleeve all the way down, the "nubs" press against the bottom of the shaft, sending the vibrations up to sheer happiness.

Taking it off, if you should want to use the vibe as a pocket rocket, can be frustrating. The only way I could remove the sleeve was to actually roll the sleeve part up to free the vibe. Don't try and do this if you're in a hurry; it takes a bit of patience and time. The rocket itself has a velvety texture and can be used without the sleeve for clitoral stimulation. There are 3 little 'nubs' on the top that fit snugly against the shaft. Now, while the vibration is decent, I personally didn't find it enjoyable at all for clitoral stimulation. Now add the sleeve and shaft, a little lube, ignore the giggling, use as suggested, and I purrrrr.

Now for the specs! The length is 7 1/2 " long with an insertable 6", and the circumference is 3 1/4" with a diameter of 1" and it weighs in at less than a 1/2 lb with the vibe attached. It uses one AA battery that seems to be lasting quite surprisingly long. (Did I mention this is my FAVORITE toy now?)

Controls are simple: only on and off. No confusion there, but I want to add that you need to turn it on BEFORE using. Let's just say, if you're playing alone, it is a tad complicated to try and turn the dial while it's in place. That can be a bit of a mood killer. If you turn the dial the wrong way, say, when you can't see what you're doing, the battery compartment pops open. If the dial is set on 'off,' turning it left turns it on, turning it right opens the battery compartment. Now imagine trying to do this backwards and "in the moment." Yeah...a little frustrating.

The vibration is louder than a cell phone vibration, but should be fairly easy to cover with light music or the TV. Since all the vibration comes from the pocket rocket, there's not a lot of vibration at the tip, but trust me when I say it really doesn't matter! Even though the vibration is not overly strong in my opinion, it's perfect for the situation! Since the vibration does start at the base with the pocket rocket in a low-pitched, kinda soft buzz, it really doesn't seem to be much of a problem that it doesn't travel that far up.

As mentioned above, DO NOT store this toy touching any of your other toys. Jelly is notorious for sticking to, well, everything, and can cause damage to your other toys and itself. I would suggest keeping it in a silky pouch or wrapped to avoid contact and lint.

Clean up is fairly easy. Toy cleaner and hot water works well. You do need to spend a moment or two paying close attention to the ridges to assure you get all the germ breeding grounds cleaned up. The ridges are easy hiding places for ick. You cannot sterilize it in boiling water and sharing is completely out, unless you are using condoms! Strong soaps are warned against with Jel-Lee products. Jel-Lee is porous, so keep this in mind during your clean up process. And only use water- or silicone-based lubricants with this one!

My little friend arrived in a clear blister packaging, which was surprising easy to open. There is no doubt as to what this does or is for by first glance. It is all plainly listed for the world to see. The vibe is separate from the shaft and sleeve. I was a little concerned whether the toy would be stuck on the paper insert, but was quite pleased when I realized there was a thin plastic sheet between the two. Nice descriptions are printed on the back, along with care instructions. Overall a nice, clean design to the packaging. The inside of the insert shows other products by Penthouse on one side and a basic assembly diagram, and a repeat of care instructions on the other.

If it wasn't clearly stated before or perhaps you missed it, I'll say it again: So far this is my FAVORITE toy! I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone! I was just curious when I ordered it, and quite frankly getting a little bored with everything else. This added to my "personal" time has changed everything! Playtime is exciting again! I look forward to my time alone...I think about the times we've had, the times to come, and I sigh! Yeah, I, um, well, I have to look into, um, something...yeah, that's it...in the bedroom...so, um, yeah! I've got to go! ;)
