The dipper - butt plug discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by ShadowKitten

I got this toy via the mentor program and didn't have high hopes for it from the design and lack of stimulating parts (nubs, bumps, or even curves), and it seems I was right to have my expectations set extremely low.

The Dipper is suited for...well honestly I don't know who it would be suited for. The length makes this an unfriendly beginner's toy, and the bland design doesn't help its case either. It does however have a large base so you don't have to worry about it getting sucked in at least. This toy can't seem to decide if it's a probe or a plug. I don't think it's either...

Onto the materials..

The Dipper is made of silicone. It has a pretty marbling to it, especially in the blue which is the color I picked. It's firm to the touch but has a tiny bit of give to the material; it is entirely smooth all over with only a single 'bump' an inch from the base which is boring and unappealing to say the least. Silicone is a very safe material however, so you don't need to worry about it getting the 'eau de ass' smell at least. The toy has a sort of fruity odor which isn't overly strong but noticeable if it's close to your nose at all.

The design of the Dipper is, as I said earlier, bland and boring. I couldn't get it all the way in (almost at the 6" mark I hit a wall of sorts as I usually do with toys this long), but the girth of the toy was very easy to slide in. I had no problems in terms of that. I'd say most beginners can handle the Dipper's girth but not length, it is far too long for most people unless you have a very deep depth anally. The toy is not discreet for travel in my opinion, most people will probably realize it's a sex toy. The girth at the widest point on the Dipper is about that of two thumbs put together so it's not that big at all, just long.

This toy got used twice and then got stuck at the bottom of my temporary toy box and has stayed there since. It is truly a dull and boring toy in my opinion. It may have been original but that didn't make it fun to use. I slid it in and out as fast as I could but to my disappointment it yielded no real stimulation. It was less stimulating than a prostate exam from a doctor to be honest. I really have little to say about it.

Because this toy is indeed made of silicone, you can wash it with warm water and anti-bacterial soap, a 10% bleach solution, the top rack of a dishwasher with no soap or boiled for 3 minutes. As well, due to it being silicone, you can only use water based lube with this toy. This toy attracts dust and lint quite easily so it should be stored in a dust free environment like a zip-lock bag and rinsed off before each use. Remember to use a condom if you plan to share this toy and properly sanitize it too.
