Non-skid plug - butt plug discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by Illusion

Before purchasing this plug, I had been having a tough time finding a toy for myself that gave me a good balance of thickness, length, and other features that wasn't too much for me to handle or too little to be fun. After a little research and comparison, I settled on the Non-skid plug by Doc Johnson. This was essentially the first proper butt plug I'd actually tried, and I figured that 1 1/4" was going to be a little too slight to be really pleasurable to me, so I opted for the slightly larger 1 1/2" version.

Once I received it in the mail, as usual, it looked larger in my hand than on the screen but I wasn't too worried. Though this was my first proper toy I knew I wasn't a complete anal neophyte. Once out of the packaging the plug had a sort of fruity odor that wasn't too offensive or powerful, but definitely noticeable. After a while of use and cleaning, it has still the odor but not nearly as strong.

The plug has a nice bit of give to it—it almost feels as though it's semi-hollow, but I can't be sure. On the bottom of the base there is an exposed seam where it was filled with its core. I haven't had any issues of water getting in there or anything peeling apart yet, but only time will tell. The texture is not too aggressive and I think it actually serves to hold lube better than a smooth toy.

Appearance aside, let's get to the actual use!

Unwrapped and ready, I lubed up the plug and got to working it in. I got about halfway, maybe 3/4 of the way down it before I had any trouble - it was bigger than I had imagined, and the texture did make it a little tougher to insert than I imagine it would've been if it had been smooth. With a bit more lube and some slow working in, however, I was finally able to slide it past the largest part of the tapered length and in to the base.

Once it was inside, it felt amazing. It was a perfect length for my taste, filling deep, nice, and round as to be comfortable. The neck of the plug is smaller, which serves to keep it in place better, and is perfectly comfortable for long-term wear. Since I had bought this plug with the intention and hope of being able to move about without it popping out, I stood up and tested how well it stayed in place. The base has a bit of give to it, to nestle between the buttocks comfortably. I was not worried at all about the base collapsing on itself. Walking and moving caused this thing to wiggle in all the right places, making it hard to keep a straight face. I've found even just laying on my bed with it in makes it hit the right spot occasionally.

All in all I'm pretty sure I'd be confident wearing this out and about if I were so adventurous. It really is that good at staying in place. If you're in search of a very wearable, comfortable plug, this is definitely the one. I wouldn't recommend this to complete beginners, but the smaller version would be great and the 1 1/2" that I got is a good challenge for tackling larger toys.

Not much about my opinion of this plug has changed. Its size is still great and filling, but not impossibly huge, and it stays put perfectly. However, the non-skid texture that is so touted, has started to just become kind of annoying. I don't feel like it really does make too much of a difference in keeping it put. That said, the texture does hold lube well, so it's kind of give-and-take in that regard. Still a great plug and definitely recommended!
