FUNtasy - butt plug discontinued by Fun Factory - review by NY Toyfan

The FUNtasy is a great anal plug for a beginner. A first sight, it looks substantial enough to make you think it will be worth your while to use it, but not so big that it will make you gasp or start slowly backing away from it (haven't we all had that experience!). It slides in very easily because the tip is only about 1" in diameter. Its max is about 1.25", which is not girthy, but you definitely know it's there. Intermediate users may enjoy using this for quickies. This is not a toy to walk around the house (or outside) with, because it tends to slip out easily. It's best to stay in one place. It has a 2.5" base that gives you no worries about it slipping too far inside. Best use- sit it on the base and ride it like a cowboy (or cowgirl)!

The FUNtasy is made of very smooth silicone. I am fairly new to the world of silicone toys (most of the toys in my toybox are made of wood or steel), but I have to say I liked it. Silicone has a nice amount of give, but the FUNtasy keeps its shape nicely, especially on insertion. The flexibility of the silicone toy inside you feels wonderful. And, as I mentioned, this is very smooth silicone, making it as easy as breathing to slide it in and pull it out.

The design is very straightforward. It has three "bumps", the first at the tip (about 1"), the second in the middle (about 1.125") and the final one closer to the base (about 1.25"). The FUNtasy is exactly 5" long, and when fully inserted about 4.5" will be inside you with a maximum thickness of 1.25". The size is perfect for beginners. More advanced users, once their desire for something longer and thicker passes, will enjoy how easy it is to use and how substantial it feels when fully inserted. It is small enough and light enough that you can travel with it easily. However, it is not an incognito toy. Anyone who sees it will have a good idea about what it is used for. (I keep waiting for the day at the airport when TSA asks me to demonstrate how it is used- wouldn't that be hot!)

The best thing about this toy is that it is so inviting to beginners. You don't need to be an expert on anatomy to know just by looking at it that it will fit nicely and will not cause any pain. In my book, anything that encourages people to try anal toys is a good thing. Once inside, the FUNtasy does provide a nice amount of prostate stimulation. Since it's not curved like a P-spot stimulator, you will not get unrelenting P-stim, but what you do get feels wonderful and will give you a full and powerful orgasm. What's not great about this toy? Like I said earlier, you can't walk around with it- not even up and down the stairs. The second you stand up, the FUNtasy starts to slip out. For it to stay in place you would need a much larger bump that would allow the toy to lock in past the sphincter. That would solve the problem of staying in place when moving, but it might make it more intimidating to beginners.

The FUNtasy is very easy to care for. It is non-porous, making it safe for use without a condom (as long as you are not sharing it). You should use a water-based lube with this toy. It can be cleaned with soap and water and is dishwasher safe as well. It has an amazing ability to attract lint and dust, so you should store it in a closed container. It is always best to wash the toy before and after your session (you can save the dishwasher for your regular toy cleaning day!).

The package for the FUNtasy is HUGE. When I saw it, I thought I was about to open something that was at least 15" long! Needless to say, there is a lot of wasted space. The packaging is functional, but because it takes up so much space, it would probably not be best for storing the toy. There were no instructions (don't worry- you won't need any), but it did include a package of lube and a little brochure showing the family of products. The toys look so colorful and cute!

I've been around the block a few times with anal toys, and I have to say, I liked this one. I felt like I was getting back to basics with it. I don't always need a 2" diameter plug to have a good time (isn't that the title of a song?). I sat it on the floor (first) and on a bench (second) and rode the FUNtasy to a great orgasm. If I am short on time but want to get off, I know the FUNtasy will do the trick. If only I could walk around with it! Perhaps you could solve that problem with a harness.
