Marylin wrist cuff - wrist cuffs by Unspoken Market - review by Breas

When I had seen the Marylin Wrist Cuff, I fell head-over-heels in love. I love sparkly things, and the cuff looked so beautiful that it became a “must-have”. The price of $41.99 was a bit high for me, but luckily I was given the opportunity to review it. The cuff is available in black, and in pink. I received the black cuff.

The Marylin Wrist Cuff arrived in a frosted, clear packaging that is in the shape of a purse (you can see photos below). The front of the packaging has a sticker label that states the brand, and the back of the packaging states the product with photo. The packaging is cute and simple.





I probably should have read the product specifications a bit better because I was under the impression that these were “cuffs”, meaning I’d receive a pair. You actually only receive one cuff.

The cuff is labelled on the packaging as a bracelet. It can be worn during play, as it does have a D-ring on it, but it can also be worn for fashion.

The length of the cuff is 9 ½ inches and it is just under 1inch wide. The cuff is adjustable to fit a wrist between the sizes of 6 ½ - 7 ½ inches. You adjust the size with the buckle and three holes (similar to a belt).



The cuff is made of thick leather and is not very flexible. I personally will not use this as a restraint during play because it would not be comfortable to use for that purpose. It’s too small in width, and the hard leather doesn’t provide the comfort I like in cuffs (to ensure a good restraint, but also safe and not painful). There are better choices here at Eden Fantasys if you are looking for a pair of restraints. Also, since the cuff does not come in a set, only one arm would be restrained.

On the cuff, there are two rows of Swarovski crystals. They are absolutely beautiful and when the light hits them, they shine with different colours of a rainbow. The two rows of crystals do bend so they will wrap around your wrist along with the cuff. The crystals seem to be secure, but I usually put a thin layer of clear nail polish over top of any stones that I fear may fall out. This is just something I do to ensure I don’t lose any details in my jewellery. You do not need to do this if you get the cuff.



To clean the cuff, just use a damp washcloth with a bit of mild soap when needed.

This cuff receives a 4 out of 5 from me. I think it’s beautiful and high quality, but it loses a star because it is not good for restraint during play, and the price (in my opinion) is a bit high for just one bracelet.

I loved the Marylin wrist cuff... I really did. I had only worn it a few times, and the last time I had worn it, it broke. I was wearing the cuff as a fashion bracelet with a long sleeve shirt. When I went to change my shirt, the cuff snagged my shirt. Surprisingly, the shirt actually tore the entire top row of the rhinestones off. I don't feel like I was rough with the cuff, and for the price of the cuff, it should be a heck of a lot securer than what it actually is.
