Leather collar - collar by Zado - review by Madame Z

This collar's intended purpose is for BDSM play. There are two rings on the collar. One on each side technically they can both be used to attach either a leash or cuffs or both depending on what you do and what you have at your disposal.

I can see this item being used for light BDSM play. I think the product would not safely hold up to harder more serious play.

I would suggest this as more of a costume piece then for any major kind of BDSM play. It's good for short term wear, but I wouldn't recommend using it for long term wear.

This, I would say, is best for beginner use. It's a mid grade quality leather, and it is very reasonably priced which is nice for someone that is learning what they like.

For me personally, the design was not optimal, both in looks and actual use. I like the black leather, but I am not a fan of the stars and studs. It gives it a cheap look in my opinion So long as this product isn't used for play, I see it lasting quite a while. Because of the quality of the leather though, scratches will show up quickly I am sure. It does have a nice smooth feel to it and a faint leather smell as well, and those are some nice qualities to have.

I have to say that I was worried that the One size fits most meant that it would not fit me as most one size fits most items tends to be just barely too small for me. This on the other hand fit me quite well. It wasn't too tight or too loose.

For myself, it seemed a bit wide for my liking and the leather strip that has the stars and studs on it is folded over so one side is more rough than the other, but over all it was comfortable. The product is of reasonable quality. I would not utilize it for play myself as the leather feels as though it is cutting into me a bit when I pull on it. But that is just how some leather can be when it's new. I will revisit that aspect of the collar on my follow up review.

From viewing the product before receiving it, I was pretty sure it would work well for costuming and light play purposes. As such ,it met my expectations fine. This is a good product for trying on and finding out what you like. It's comfortable to walk around in and some light tugging is fine, but past that, it becomes uncomfortable, and for products like these (Depending on your reason for purchasing it), you will want to have something that is comfortable for you for short term and long term wear.

It does not come in discreet packaging. The box that it came in has a picture of a woman on the front of it wearing the collar. There was some paperwork that came with the product, but not much in the way of helpful information. Though the collar is fairly simple, no bells and whistles here.
