A Good Little Flogger
If you're vegan friendly and just experimenting with BDSM, this may be the flogger for you. It is cheap enough to justify trying out while still of a decent quality and heft.Published: February 21, 2011
Pros:
Good price, Well made for $10
Cons:
Not leather
I like most of the Sportsheets branded stuff. Their bondage stuff is decently priced and generally of good quality. The Sportsheets Impressions Crop is cute, well-priced, and not too scary looking for a newbie on the bondage scene. It’s a great little crop for light BDSM play; if you’re into intense bondage and pain, this may not be the crop for you. Like all cheap items, it’s not going to last you ten years, but if you’re in the market for some cost efficient, non-threatening toys, this is the toy for you.
This is the perfect toy for a couple who is just getting into the BDSM scene. It is a cute, vegan alternative flogger with a decent heft to it. I myself am not a big fan of vegan alternatives, I would personally like some kind of leather alternative to this crop. It’s not meant for long term use; instead, I believe it is intended to be a toy with shock value factor to a new to the BDSM scene. Like most things made in China or mass factory produced, this crop isn’t going to last you forever. It is cheap enough that you can get it, use it a few times, and decide that it’s not for you.
You’ll try it out, and it’ll probably be fun for a while, but you will need to upgrade to something that has a bit more quality and a bit more sustainability to it. It is kind of disheartening to see this cheap, PVC alternative from Sportsheets as some of their other items seems to be of a higher quality than this.
If you’re new to the BDSM scene like my girl and I are or you just want to try it out, the price tag on it is great. If you want something that’s going to last you many years, you may want to look elsewhere.

I'm still fond of this crop. I didn't get to use it as fully as I had intended, but it was fun to tease my partner with.

what is better for just starting out, and not very painful to play with?

Quote: what is better for just starting out, and not very painful to play with?In my and my partners expirience it is better to start our with a crop. They are easier to control the amount of pain and area it is meant for. We actually started with the Impressions crop, and are thinking about moving up to a tickler/ flogger combo, to get more of the feel for how your body reacts to being smacked. Also maybe try other things like ticklers, they can be used with te impressions crop to lightly pass over where you were hit to add new sensations. ;)
I hope this helped, and if you need anything let me know and I will do my best to help you. -
Quote: what is better for just starting out, and not very painful to play with?Depends on what you are going for. Floggers tend to be more thuddy depending on several factors like cut, width, material, etc, and crops more stingy. They are very different sensations and I would say a better comparison would be Crops vs Canes, in which Crops would be less evil but still pack a punch. Floggers are generally a bit more work to get down right but its really hard to mess up a Crop, just make sure you hit the meaty parts of their butt and thighs.
Personally for me, I started with floggers because I didn't feel like inflicting a lot of pain, but I feel that both are useful toys in my bag.

We've been toying with it. I think with the right one I'd definitely be a fan.

Thank you for viewing Impressions crop review page!

When I saw the photo, I was hoping this was leather. It's really too bad.
I've been debating this one, but I just can't make up my mind. :/
Thanks for the review.
Good review!!
Sportsheets is kind of hit or miss for me. What kind of pain do you think this delivers, stingy?
Thank you!
Good review!
