Rubber whip - bondage toy by Sportsheets - review by Domineight

I definitely think this is a great beginners' toy. I have owned this whip and several different sizes and versions of it and found that while I really enjoyed it at first, as I have gotten more into pain play it doesn't quite do it for me. I would recommend this to couples who are wanting to try out light BDSM or add something a little spicy to foreplay without jumping into anything too heavy too quickly. I don't know that this would work very well without a partner, but I wouldn't rule out the possibility. I have used this toy on a number of places, including bottoms, backs, chests, thighs and genitals, all of which worked quite well.

The design on this toy is pretty simple. There are several rubber strings that loop through a plastic tube with a ball on each end. There is a piece of lanyard at the end, which is good for hanging the toy up.

One of my few complaints about this rubber whip is that the rubber strings get tangled very easily. It doesn't make using the toy any more difficult but certainly makes it less attractive. A leather toy would most likely not do this (at least in my experience)

This toy is not suited for someone with a latex allergy, even to be on the giving end. While some rubbers upset certain people with latex allergies more than others, it's best not to take that chance.

Because this toy is latex it also has a slight smell to it.

This toy has shown to be durable. It isn't the fanciest whip you'll come across by any means but for what it is and what it costs it has stood up to quite a bit of use.

As far as I am aware this toy is suitable for vegans.

This toy has worked pretty well for me over time. I no longer use it due to my boyfriend's latex allergy, but it certainly put in its time.

When I bought this toy I wanted something vegan, cute and that wouldn't fall apart and this whip has proven to be all of those things.

Because this toy does not deliver intense pain I found it suitable to use on the genitals. I had not anticipated using the toy for thing but it ended up being pretty useful for such activities. I found because it delivers a light to moderate sting I used it more in more situations.

The sensations it delivers are more of a sting than a blunt pain. Because of the thinness of the rubber strings its sensation is sharp but not overly intense.

One of the nice things about leather toys is that they are much easier to clean. Whereas you can mess up leather pretty easily, rubber can take much more abuse in terms of cleaning. I usually either soaked the rubber whip or cleaned the ends with soap and water.

As for storage I kept the whip in a baggie in a drawer. Easy enough, right?

This is not a toy that will blow you away but it is durable and practical. I definitely recommend this toy to beginners.
