A Queen's Restraint

This is a restraint that is a corset as well! Ah, no, it is a corset that is a restraint as well! You decide!

Waist restraint "level up edition", adjustable wonderful design, and cuffs that will ensure you that that restless little slave won't get out of them and run away! That is the somewhat bad part in it too, because the cuffs are so tight right away that I keep on freaking out about my veins! But knowing the rules of bondage safety everything is alright, 5 stars for the amazing idea!

Use

As I was looking at the Elastabind Corset Restraint more and more, getting closer to the day of purchasing it, I still wasn't sure what to think about its size.

In the reviews you can find that, because of the measurements, you want to be a skinny to average sized lady to be able to wear this almost artistically crafted beauty. And though it is made of a stretchy material, I was still hesitating if I should get one or not.

I must say I was disappointed in the most pleasant way, and not only because of the size for the waist!

It is mighty easy to figure out how to use this shiny black piece of bondage gear ornamenting your precious body. You slide it on, then slide your hands into the two "cuffs" on the sides. And you would think that stretchy material means that it won't be such a serious, strong kind of cuffing... Well, you are surely wrong then!

And let's examine in detail, why this delicious looking accessory is something that isn't that tight, but still tight enough to expect more than what you see in the pictures!

Design / Craftsmanship / Material / Size / Fit

Will you believe me if I say that this beautiful restraint can be worn as a real corset?

Yep, believe me, and believe the picture and suggestion on the package! You can't only wear it with the cuff parts outside, but turned inside out as well, becoming a piece of delicate clothing with a simple flip! Though the picture shows a purrrfect looking corset on the lady's waist, and in practice you have to figure out how in the world you will achieve the same view! (Though if you have a very close look, you will see in the picture what I am going to describe now.)

Even before putting it on, when you flip it inside out and get it flat in your hands or on a bed or desk, you will see that the two cuffs are being seen a little bit under the corset! When my OnlyMaster had me try it on that way, it was just like that in actual use, the two cuffs peeking out from under the blackness! And only for you, dear readers, I am going to attempt to fix that little design flaw now, and see if it is manageable! Let's see...

Ok, the results: whether you lay the flattened cuffs to the front half or the back, obviously, their flat shape can be seen through the material. And, of course the little corners are hanging out, just like in the flattened position of the corset. The only way to get rid of the sight is to fold those corners under, meaning an even more visible "bump" seen through the material.

Conclusion: unless you don't mind such a thing or you intend to cover that up with something, you don't want to be seen publicly, or by anyone you would feel uncomfortable with in such a situation. Exception is when you are with a precious one who doesn't mind such a thing at all, and admires the rest of the view much more, to appreciate the entire and pretty creative concept.

The material is extremely comfortable by the way. The info on the package says that it is made of Elastabind(TM), a stretchy material having a snug fit. If you ask me, it looks like some sturdy synthetic webbing, soft, not hard, but not silky smooth either. Its smell is what you would have lingering around in a sweetest dream of Candy Land! The freshness of it reminds you of just mowed grass, but the base of the smell is like... It's like... My, it is the smell everybody so very well knows, but you still can't tell where exactly you tasted such a thing! Because the smell is just like the taste of a candy! I wish I remembered which kind of candy! But it's definitely sugary sweet, and warmly enchanting.

There is no info on the package about the other material used, and we know by the product description that it is patent leather. Even the two layers used feel incredibly thin, almost weak. It is rather like two very thin layers of PVC, or vinyl, shiny and wonderful looking, seemingly in love with your fingerprints, having the same grassy-fresh candy-sweet smell, being even stronger. Seems to me by the way that the elastabind has the deep, warmly sugary sweet smell, and the shiny patent leather has the strong grassy freshness.

The two halves of patent leather are tied together with silky smooth, shiny black webbing, in this case aka shoe lace, just much more delicate, without being tied tight on the tips. Instead, the ends are like when you burn shoe lace or some similar synthetic webbing, having the perfect 90 degree corners. And of course the holes are your casual, dark metal rings with the flower petal shaped teeth, sinking into the shininess in this case.

The rather dark gray elastabind seems to be durable for a lifetime (we will have to see though), and I assume that if you take a good enough care of the patent leather part and the laces too, then you will never have to worry about having it ruined.

The craftsmanship is something making me tilt my head a little bit now.

The elastabind doesn't have the edges folded and sewn down, and the patent leather seems to have an impeccable sewing at first sight. With a closer look you may find that fringes of string are loose here and there, mostly at the ends of the sewing, both at the cuffs and on the shiny leather. I am telling myself at the moment that there is no reason to wonder, with such a highly affordable price. It looks like, with care, everything can be fixed on this beautiful piece if needed, and I advise you to use your hands and no machines when you are doing such a thing, because of the beautiful leather, just following the holes the original sewing created. The funny part is by the way that you see the fringe thing on both sides of the corset, which could also make us figure that indeed, both sides got neglected when it came to the actual manufacturing, so both sides are supposed to be used - aka you want to wear it as a restraint, and as a corset as well.

And now we have finally arrived to the topic of the fit. Well, yes, it may give you a fit. And that is the amazingly positive side of the cuffs!

Like I said, you want to take it on by sliding into it. Better to say by sliding it on yourself. The classical shoe lace system makes you able to adjust the size like a dream, and the elastabind material is extremely stretchy! One tiny loop of webbing can stretch to almost twice its size horizontally, revealing a beautiful, silvery shine under the dark gray material, though the large amount of elastabind still stays very tight. You can see this in the cuffs only though, I assume they are fortified with some stronger layer of shininess. The rest of the elastabind still has a subtle glitteriness. It can't be stretched vertically by the way.

I couldn't tell if this dark beauty could fit on very obese people, but the ties to keep the leather together seem to be long enough for the most various sizes! The material is very hard to stretch though, giving you a neat tool to exercise your muscles as you try it. Even as I am putting it under as much pressure as possible, the lacing gets looser slow and gradually, making me suppose that everything is mighty strong and durable in this wonderful blackness. And I keep on chewing on the thought if it could fit on a more curvy lady. And I must say that, at least as I see, I could imagine it on a bigger belly too.

The exact measurements should be given here anyway, so let's see them quick!

width: 5 inches
total length: about 31 1/4 inches
length of elastabind part: about 26 3/4 inches
extra lace length after tightest binding: about 19-20 inches
cuff length (like width of corset): 4 7/8 inches
cuff width flattened: 3 1/2 inches
cuff corners seen from under corset without being folded under (being like a long, small triangle): 1/2 inch width (corner distance from corset edge), 2 1/4 inches length (along corset)
    • Adjustable
    • Discreet look/design
    • Mixed material

Performance

Just like described on the package, even with the laces comfortably loose enough, the stretchy elastabind gives a mighty snug fit, and oh, the wrist cuffs!

I put it on, Master tied the laces beautifully on the top, and then there came the cuffs to check out!
I have pretty tiny paws, not unusually tiny, but still small and slim enough, and it is a struggle to slide my hands into the cuffs! You can't stretch them too much, really just a little bit, and after you've got your hands into the cuffs somehow, you will still have the material in wrinkles over your wrist! This means adjusting, adjusting... Imagine that you are checking it out by yourself, taking one on, it is squeezing your wrist like hell, and you are fighting with the tightness to smooth the ridges out - so both of your hands/wrists are in a major discomfort, and it is only one cuff to put up with!

We got both cuffs on anyway, I turned around, looking pretty and delicious like a captive enslaved tribal Queen, and we took them off after a few minutes. To tell the truth I am a little bit worried about the tightness of the cuffs. They are extremely hard to put on, and as hard and hellishly bothering to take off. And while they are on, my immediate reaction is that I want them off right away, envisioning my veins squeezed, my blood flow tremendously restricted, fretting as hell if I am having my system being damaged! Trying a cuff on again for a few moments now, on my left wrist at this time, I was trying to focus on the sensations again. It is as tight as it can be, giving support to your wrists, and I tried to calm down and see it in a more optimistic way.

So let's say that it isn't damaging your veins, and that it is purrrfectly safe. I had to struggle down some feeling of having my lower arm being "blown up", the sensation of coldness in my wrists, and just the whole thought that I am harming my veins. What I realized now is that, especially is you are a psychosomatic type of person (meaning that your thoughts, moods, stress and anything in your soul strongly effect your system, body), your mind can make you feel things which aren't really there. Also, I couldn't help the thought that it is a golden rule in bondage to be extremely careful with a few spots on the body, because restricted blood flow can damage you forever!

I would talk with my Master now for a few minutes, bringing the topic up to ask an experienced Master to get a little better insight to give you, dear readers, better information about this beautiful piece of shiny black gear. But He is relaxing so good now that I don't wish to bother Him...

My advice is that you get one if you are interested, give it a try, and even if it doesn't work out for you then you still have a wonderful piece of clothing! Not to mention the amazing price, because just look at the corsets online! Where in the world could you find such a beautiful little one for such a price, especially for free with the EF points! Though the material isn't as classy, but it is still a lovely piece to drool at, and it seems to be a well made piece to invest into!

Care and Maintenance

If you find that you have to wash this beauty then remember, you don't want to throw it into the washing machine, especially into the dryer! Instead, get a warm, damp, soft fabric with mild soap to clean it gently, because careful hand washing is the only way to keep it in a healthy shape.

I have been storing it in its original package for reviewing purposes for now, and after I am officially done with the video review I will just get rid of the box, taking up much-much more space than the little corset itself. It can be just fine among your clothes, or anywhere where it is dry enough, away from anything to scratch the shiny coating of the leather. You also want to know that I have already noticed a little loosened up part on one of the cuffs, and I wonder what in the world got stuck into it to tear that barely visible part up well enough! It isn't torn, just got a wee bit loose. You will want to avoid everything like that as much as possible to keep it in a most aesthetic shape!

Packaging

I like it a lot that Sportsheets makes the hard paper boxes thicker than other manufacturers. So far I have got three products of theirs, and two came in that fine kind of sturdier box. The color design seems to be the same all the time, pale shaded floral design on the pleasantly purple background color. White background for the models, the font types the same and always white as well.

In the pictures you see a couple, the male is completely undressed, but discreetly positioned, and the female (barely) dressed in various ways. The large front picture has both of them naked, and the lady wears only the Elastabind Corset Restraint with her hands tied to the side, a little behind her back. Both of them kneeling by the way, the guy holding her in a romantically beautiful way. The small pictures on the back show different ways to wear this lovely little gear. One is a close up of the front picture. (But not exactly! Can you tell the difference?) Another shows her in white underwear with the corset tied in the front, hands on the side a little in the front as well, guy behind her, both kneeling. The third picture shows a torso fully dressed, the dark corset worn above a white shirt.

There is no material info given, only some legal notes on the bottom. Some basic information is mentioned on the back, like the Elastabind(TM) being wide and elastic, stretching enough to slide into, giving a snug fit. Lace up closure to wear on front and back alike, comfortable and elegant. Snug wrist cuffs, and that it fits up to size 20.

The corset is just tucked into the box as it is, nothing else included inside. It arrives laced up already, so you can get to it right away! If you want to stick to the hard enough box by the way then you could use it to store toys in it, until getting something better. Saying it because it is much more durable than most of the boxes pleasure toys come in!

Traveling is obviously an easiest thing with this marvelous looking little one, and it is mighty easy to camouflage it as well! If you intend to send it as a gift though then just remember the nature of the packaging, and let the chosen one know that (s)he is going to receive a pleasure items (s)he may not want to be seen with! But you can also just take it out of the box if that is alright, and put it into something else, because with the cuffs hidden in a folded up position nobody would think that it is more than just a piece of clothing! Wonderful, isn't it?

Personal comments

Gotta mention this, can't leave it out!

Wrists are body parts which are very sensitive when it comes to blood circulation. (Among many others of course.) It's a good idea to look up some info on bondage safety before you get to any play like that! There are mostly drawings, pictures to show you which spots of the body you have to pay attention to even more than other body parts. Look for shibari/kinkabu instructional sites if you are not sure where to start!

This restraint has an UNUSUALLY TIGHT FIT! If you experience any numbness or ants running anywhere in your limbs, TAKE IT OFF RIGHT AWAY! Then rub your arms, wrists and hands a little bit to help the blood flow! Cold feeling in the hands, wrists, lower arms can also be an indicator! Whether you are a beginner or an advanced BDSM lover, it's better to be safe than sorry!

Though this little note sounded a bit scary maybe, it isn't that frightening at all. Basic rules of bondage play are something you always keep in mind and pay attention to, so you will have a purrrrrrfectly enjoyable, happily satisfying pleasure time! Go for this black beauty, and always keep things safe above everything else! Enjoy!

Experience

So far my experiences with this beauty have been short and... Well... Both pleasant and freaky...

I love the gorgeous and extremely versatile design, and the unusually tight cuffs weird me out as hell at the same time! Looks like I will just have to get through that part of worrying about my veins, because I damned well know the signs when to take it off finally, so I guess I will just wear it more often. Have worn heavy steel cuffs too, they were on for hours and made my hands feel cold after a while, for a quite long time, and I didn't suffer any internal injuries. So I assume it is just me freaking out a little, and not the cuffs being dangerously tight.

I know, am sounding all funny now. Just such a tight suspension (right away!) is a little bit new for me, and I trust my Master much-much-much more than some pleasure toys manufactured by others. Will just get used to it, OH MY OH MY OH MY IT'S SO DAMNED FRIGGIN' BEAUTIFUL AND DELICIOUS LOOKING, I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY I HAVE IT, AND IT REALLY MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE THE MOST GORGEOUS WOMAN EVER!!! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHH, I guess if you are in love with the design as much as I am then you will just grab one quick too, and don't forget to write a review on it, so we, "fretting pussies" can calm down more, seeing that everything is alright with it! I will tell everything in the follow-up review too!

Until then, enjoy it!
    • Well made / sturdy
    • Will fit most people
Follow-up commentary
It got tested and used in a casual way not long ago, and oh my, it served in an impeccable way, and hell I looked gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous in it!!!

I do think that every BDSM and corset lover lady should own such a versatile, playful, lovely looking restraint!!!
