Neck & wrist restraint - cuffs by Sportsheets - review by Vegan Silk

This neck and wrist restraint from Sportsheets is intended for light bondage. You simply place the velcro collar around your neck and the canvass strap can hang down either in front or behind your back. The bottoms wrists are then cuffed to any of the D-Rings along the side of the strap.

This piece is a great addition to my light bondage restraints. It is an ok restraint on its own, but really shines when used creatively with other toys.

The restraint comes with a set of velcro cuffs. One cuff has a g clip the other has a small D ring. This means that you cannot clip the cuffs separately to different points of the restraint. They are well made, but not very exciting. They are definitely meant for light bondage. The fact that only one of the cuffs has a g-clip makes this piece not do well as a stand alone toy. Mixing and matching with other restraints is the way to go.

The collar is made with neoprene wetsuit material and has a velcro closure. It fits neck circumference between 12 and 20 inches. Neoprene part is 17 inches long. If your neck is between 17 inches and 20 inches it will fit, but you will have the soft side of the velcro closing strap against your neck.

A sturdy canvas strap is looped around the collar. The strap has four pairs of D rings down the sides and one more D ring at the bottom. It hangs down 19 inches with the the bottom D ring extending that another inch. If you were looking for a heavier bondage situation the strap could be removed from the neoprene collar and placed one that buckles or locks.

There are some really fun ways to use this product, but they all involve engaging other gear. I like feeling tightly bound down, so when tied to a bed, extra restraints can hold down my chest using tethers attached to the D rings of the strap. Or, a long tether or rope could sexily be laced through the four sets of D-rings to tie your arms to your side.

It is a great piece to add to a collection.

However, on its own it doesn't shine very well. It looks really sexy, but since only one cuff has a g-clip its a bit awkward to attach. You have to hook the cuffs through the D clips instead of too them. It can be worn with the strap in the front which looks hot, but doesn't really restrain you very much. But if you are going for more of a look, or want your sub to be able to move their arms for other things, it works well.

The only way to feel restrained with just this piece is to have the strap hang down your back and the cuffs through the highest D-rings you can manage. Don't go higher than is comfortable since that can damage your joints. Even in this position both me and my boyfriend could get out ourselves. This isn't a plus or minus, but more of a preference on how bonded you like to be.

Overall it was much more fun when paired with cuffs that each had a g clip, and with other tethers and ropes. The piece is easy to use, so beginner friendly, but you will have more fun with it if you have a larger collection of toys to use with it.

If you get fluids on the restraint, you can easily wash it in the sink. I wouldn't put it through the washer as the D-rings are pretty heavy. I wouldn't want them smacking the washer from the inside. Soap and water works well, and hang to dry.

While the shipping packaging is discreet as always, the clam shell that this piece comes in is not. It has pictures of a women in underwear (no bra) wearing the restraint in a sexy pose. Her arms are cuffed through the highest set of D-rings while her mail partner is sitting behind with arms around her and cuffed to the bottom D-ring. There is no way to pretend that this is something else if it gets spotted.

The packaging re-seals, so it can be used for storage. However, the neck restraint folds nicely and can fit in a smaller drawer or box, so I wouldn't bother keeping it.
