Spanker by Leatherbeaten - review by Laccaria

This Leatherbeaten version of the classic leather spanker is a seriously pretty spanking toy. It is constructed from two layers of stiff, thick, black leather, which are sewn together around a metal reinforcement in the handle. When you hold the spanker by the handle there is no floppiness to the business end. The leather is stiff, but the surface texture is smooth, and my overall impression is that this paddle is carefully made with quality materials.

It’s always a little bit tricky to describe the feel of any impact toy because so much depends on how you use them. The same toy can caress gently or sting horribly depending on the amount of force and the application site. That said, the Leatherbeaten spanker falls further along towards the sting horribly end of the spectrum. You would have to wield this toy with an extremely light touch if you wanted to give a gentle, playful type of spanking. Even without much force behind the slapping, this toy produces a significant sting, and one moderate blow is enough to turn my very pale skin very pink.

With a bit of force behind the blow, you still get the sting but you get a little bit of thud too. You also get the potential for leaving the sort of marks that stick around for a few days. Since this slapper has more sting than thud, any marks and bruises it leaves behind will tend to be on the surface. In other words, any bruising should be more colorful than painful, as bruising goes, that is.

A recent play date volunteered to help me test this toy (so thoughtful, right?), and he told me that this was the first “convincing” leather spanker he had ever seen. Since this is a man who brought five (5!) different floggers along on our first date, I’m guessing he knows a quality impact toy when he sees one.

So, this paddle is impressive to the serious connoisseur of impact toys, but I would also say that anyone who enjoys a good hard hand spanking, and wants to take his/her spanking play up just a notch could really enjoy this toy.
