Rouge collar - collar by Sportsheets - review by dracarys

This is my first collar (I'm now under consideration!) and I really love it. It's simple but elegant.

The first thing I noticed was how smooth it is, both the faux-leather and the inside. (Huge plus that it's all cruelty-free - I don't think I'd be really comfortable wearing a real leather collar.) I have a fairly small neck, and I wish it was just a bit tighter, but on the tightest setting it fits well. It's easy to snap on, even by myself; I didn't even have to look in the mirror or do the snap-in-front-rotate-to-back trick. It does slide around a bit, though, so I do some adjusting to make sure the D-ring is in front if I need it there for my purposes. Not sure how well it'd stay in place with something attached to the collar; you might have to be careful that you don't hurt your partner if a chain or leash slides around, etc.

Though the fit wasn't perfect, it's extremely comfortable; I've worn it for hours and hardly noticed that it was there. It's very comfortable against my skin; I can have sensitive skin and certain reactions, and I'm happy to report I had none of these problems with the Rouge collar. It's surprising that nowhere does it indicate what material it is on the inside of the collar, just that it's something vegan. This may be a problem for some people.

I also LOVE the color. I'm a red person, and this was a strong, true red, nothing washed-out or unfortunate-looking.

I wouldn't call it discreet enough to wear out in public or around family - perhaps if it was thinner or didn't have the D-ring, but as it is I think it's quite obvious what it is. So if you're looking for something to subtly flaunt your status, this probably isn't it!

This is an awesome product, full stop. Nothing's changed since I bought it - I still enjoy wearing it, but I still wish I could secure the loose end a bit. No regrets on this one!
