Use this as a playful threat, as a menacing snap of leather or as a bouquet that makes the groom do a double-take. This flogger is as beautiful as it is functional; from teasing to heavy whipping, the blooms will never wilt and certainly never disappoint.

As soon as I opened the package containing this beauty, I inhaled the lovely scent of leather. This is a very high quality flogger. The craftsmanship is impeccable and sturdy. This flogger can most definitely take a beating. It is the best one I own, by far. I expect it will be the best flogger I have for quite awhile! It was almost intimidating to pull the flogger out of the box and hold it with the full length of the tails hanging down. It is very long and heavy. The handle is a good size and weight, but it gets tiresome swinging the tails fully for too long. One thing I hadn't considered is the width of each tail. Each "stem" is thick and fully braided. Sometimes it's just too much to use all of them at once. Since the tails are so long, it's easy to just grab a number of tails higher up and swing them while holding the rest of the whip in the other hand. This makes the roses flogger very versatile. At full length, the flogger is useful for tipping from afar or laying the tails down flat on the back. At half length, I like to use the flogger on the buttocks and thighs. I would hesitate to use much more than a few inches above the blooms for especially sensitive areas like the genitals and breasts. Because of its design the variety of sensations possible with this flogger makes it useful for anything from foreplay to hardcore flogging.

This flogger, as I have said, was very intimidating to me. It is still difficult for me to swing at its full length and I cannot do it more than once or twice, because it is so heavy! However, this roadblock inspired me to find more ways to use this flogger (see Design/Craftsmanship). In use, the roses flogger is very thuddy. It produces a heavier, deeper sensation that doesn't quite sting the skin. Depending on the way they are used, the blooms leave lovely marks on the skin and create interesting sensations. Also, the "thorns" running up the stems are wonderful when I simply drag the tails of the flogger across skin in foreplay. The heaviness is also nice for play that doesn't involve heavy impact with this toy because it intimidates and gives sensation with minimal force.

However, I would caution you not to use it too forcefully, too quickly. With too much strength, combined with the weight and irregular thorns and blooms of this flogger, someone could get seriously hurt. Build up from simply dragging the tails across the skin to normal swinging, as this flogger takes time to get accustomed to the feelings. It takes just the right amount of strength applied. The amount typically used for most floggers would either not be enough or be too much. Either of these could hurt the one wielding the flogger or the one submitting to it. This toy is best for those with some experience or, at the very least, patience and caution.

The Roses flogger was given to me as a gift and I can confidently say it's the best gift that I ever received. Tears came to my eyes when it was revealed to me. I will always remember the moment when I first wrapped my fingers around the handle. When I hold this flogger, I feel empowered. I hope that others can use this flogger and feel the same as I do.
