Blush XOXO Paddle from Sportsheets is a cute beginner friendly paddle that's best used by someone just testing the waters of BDSM. This lightweight paddle is best used with a partner, but there are a few ways it can be used if you're on your own.

As a paddle, this can be used to spank your partner, or to lightly smack them on other areas of the body. While that might sound a little scary for a beginner, this product really doesn't pack enough punch for it to inflect pain. It gives the user a good idea of what to expect from that type of play and is a wonderful option since you won't break the bank with this purchase. You can add a blindfold and handcuffs into the mix to heighten your senses even more, but for use with a partner, that's about as versatile as this product is.

Other uses for this product include using it as a decoration in your playroom or bedroom, as a costume accessory, or for using it in boudoir shots. It's an attractive looking paddle that has great colors which would look great with a lot of lingerie pieces and should match the decor of many people's rooms. You could include your partner in this use by allowing them to photograph you, and it could easily progress into so much more!

Heavy players, you will probably destroy this paddle in your first use! Maybe that's the goal, I don't know, but I don't see many heavy players feeling the need to purchase this paddle. This is really an entry level piece or for show only.

This paddle is made from three different materials; a nylon cord, fiberglass, and vinyl fabric. It's totally vegan friendly since it contains no leather, though from a distance it has a similar appearance. The majority of the paddle comes in either black (with red accent) or pink (which black accent). This area of the paddle looks lightly textured and is the area that sort of resembles real leather. The area of the paddle that connects with the body has the letters 'XOXO' cut into the surface and has a shiny red background. The letters aren't attached to the red background directly, but are just resting against it. There is stitching around the perimeter of the whole paddle that's about 1/8" from the edge, and it's also stitched at the bottom of the impression area.


The widest area of the paddle is at the end (measuring 2 1/8" wide), but after 5" it starts to narrow into the handle (which is 1 1/8" wide). At the bottom of the handle it widens again and is totally rounded at the base. There is a cord attached there so that it's easier to hold during use and there is also a tag that says 'S&M' on it. The full length is 12 5/8" and the cord itself is 4" long. The cord is a little hard for me to get onto my wrist, but I'm a larger woman and have larger hands. If nothing else, it works well to hang the cord from a hook for either display or storage purposes.



It would be difficult to try to convince someone this item is anything other than a sexual product. It's not discreet looking at all, but it small enough that it can easily be tucked away from prying eyes.

There were a few quality concerns on this piece, but in general it isn't bad. Some of the stitching wasn't great and there were a couple loose threads, but it wasn't anything that couldn't be fixed. In general, this feels like a fairly solid item considering the price, but it could easily be broken by someone trying to use it for heavier play. For light use, it seems like this will hold up really well in general. The center of the paddle has a rod to help keep the paddle straight and prevent it from being floppy. If something were to happen to it, I would assume the rod would snap, but it feels very secure in my hands.

The design and look of this paddle would instantly give someone the impression that it would leave a mark resembling the 'xoxo' pattern. While it's super cute on the paddle, it doesn't transfer onto the skin very well. You would need something much more heavy duty to leave marks from the impressions cut out on the paddle. This was not surprising at all, but was a little disappointing since the idea behind it is really cute.


Aside from the marks left (or lack of), it's a fine starter paddle. It's a non-intimidating size and shape, is very lightweight, and is easy to use. It can produce a temporary 'thuddy' pain, but it's very minimal and doesn't last long. It would be very difficult to truly hurt your partner with this, so it makes it a great toy for a couple that's unsure if this type of play is for them.

Depending on how hard you use this toy, it will leave a light pink/red mark on the skin, but it doesn't last long and shouldn't cause any bruising.

The surface of the paddle can easily be wiped down with a toy wipe, baby wipe, or a cloth with some soap and water, but that should only be necessary if you somehow got lubricant or bodily fluids on your paddle. You should try to avoid getting this paddle wet in general since it could get ruined that way, but surface cleaning is fine.

It's easy to store this paddle in a drawer since it's so thin and takes up a small amount of space. If you don't have to worry about being discreet about it, you can also hang it on the wall and it can become a sexy little decoration that's also functional.

This paddle arrives without any form of packaging, but there is a tag attached to the end of the handle. The tag is not discreet, but doesn't really need to be considering the paddle isn't concealed at all. The front features a topless woman holding the paddle with only part of her breasts covered. The inside of the tag features a little story, Sportsheets does this on all their Sex & Mischief items. The back gives information about the toy; sizing, website, etc. This tag can be removed and tossed since it's not important to keep the information.

I purchased this item because it was inexpensive and super cute, and having a husband not really into impact play, I knew that it wouldn't be a huge loss if he said he never wanted to use it.

We did try it out, and neither of us were really impressed with the way it preformed. Because it didn't leave the impressions, because it didn't leave the feeling I was hoping for, because it was unimpressive, it just didn't live up to what I was hoping for. I always have high hopes for things like this, but considering the price, it preformed about as well as I figured it would. It created a nice sound that could be heard through a closed door, but that was about the only impressive thing about this product. It's cute and fun and will stick around, but will only be used for show.
