The Wartenburg Pinwheel is a great addition to anyone's toy chest. You can go from sensual tickle to delightfully painful depending on the pressure you put behind it which makes it great for beginners and advanced users alike. I would highly suggest this for anyone who is interested in sensory play, medical scenes or light BDSM.

Beginners will love this toy because it is easy to control the amount of pain you inflict. You can be as light or heavy handed as you wish. Advanced users will love being able to surprise their lovers with a heavy handed swipe.

I've found that the best places to use this toy are the inner thighs, behind the ear, across the hips, down the back and on the bottoms of feet. A fun tip is to blindfold your lover so they don't know exactly where it's going to touch next. It adds to the power/trust play experience.

Also, because the pinwheel is made of stainless steel it retains temperature and can be put in the freezer for an hour or so to add a bit more sensation.

The design of the pinwheel is one of it's appeal factors. It is made of solid stainless steel and has a high quality look and feel to it. The chrome coating on it leaves it super shiny and a bit dangerous.

The pins are not incredibly sharp and are meant not to break the skin but still have a nice bite to them. The wheel rolls effortlessly across the skin without any drag behind it.

The pins on mine were slightly variated in length. It wasn't too noticeable when used on me or my partner. It may also develop somewhat of a squeak but a little oil will take care of that.

The pinwheel works exactly like I hoped it would. When used with light pressure it provides a lovely tickling sensation completely different than feathers or any other type of tickler. With heavier pressure applied it adds a bit of a bite to the tickle and feels much like a scalpel or other sharp instrument without leaving any marks behind. Running it slowly allows you to feel the individual pins a bit better while a quicker swipe will feel more like one slice.

I was very pleased with my pinwheel and feel it may be one of my favorite toys in my stash.
