I've seen "professional" floggers|Flogging Toys - BDSM Toys & Accessories on craftsmen's websites selling for $200 or more. Being a total novice, I have no idea how well one of those babies handles or feels in your hand (or on an ass). I've been reading and learning all I can about incorporating bondage and discipline into my love life, dreaming of tying down my beloved little bitch and turning her ass bright red, stroking her cheeks with long strips of leather. But none of that compares to the feeling of holding an actual tool of the trade in your hand.

This whip is my first and in my very humble opinion would be a wonderful addition to anyone's BDSM toybox.

First off, I was just a little apprehensive when I saw the packaging that the whip arrived in (from the manufacturer, not from Eden), as the strands of the whip were folded down over the handle. I needn't have worried so much because the majority of the kinks shook themselves out with very little effort. I would suggest either hanging hanging the whip from the convenient D-ring on the end of the handle, or laying it flat to keep the falls nice and straight. That way, all the "kinks" can be limited to playtime.

The majority of serious BDSM toys|BDSM Toys - Bondage & Fetish Accessories come in basic black, but this whip is a very attractive alternative. The wrap around the handle and the strands are cut from a single piece of royal blue leather, with black on the underside. It's very pleasing to the eye as it cuts through the air. The D-ring is attached to the end of the handle by some braided leather. The large silver studs on the handle give it both a "studly" look and a bit of flash. It appears to me to be very well made. It may or may not stand up to extensive use, but that's something I won't find out until I get some practical experience under my belt (so to speak).

The "feel" of it in my hand is even more pleasing than it's appearance. The balance and the weight are very gratifying. It just felt right holding it. I held it up, rotating my wrist a little, listening to the sound of the falls slapping together. Being alone at the moment, I slapped it lightly on my leg, and I absolutely loved the sound it made. The feel was a little more of a thump than the sting I was expecting. I slapped a little harder and from a different angle, and did get a bit more sting as the tips wrapped around my calf. Oh, how I wish she would come through that door so that I could try it out on her. I need to hear her feel it. I need the power that possessing her brings.
