This paddle has one very obvious use: spanking. You could take it to the lake and try it out in a canoe, or you could attempt to signal a bid at an auction with it, but chances are you'll look very strange. No, this paddle was made for smacking, particularly on the ass.

At first glance, this paddle certainly looks intimidating. One would probably assume that only seasoned spankers and lovers of all things fetish would have the guts to purchase and use this thing. Well, I was none of the above. I just knew that I liked it when my wife smacked me a few times on the bum during lovemaking. So, I thought: why not take this a step further and see if all the hype around this spanking thing is for real. My findings were surprising, to say the least.

I found the construction and design of the studded paddle quite satisfactory. It is made of smooth black leather and about 16.5 inches in length. On one end is the handle, about five or six inches, and the other end is comprised of the paddle, roughly ten or eleven inches. On the end of the handle is a leather cord for wrapping around the wrist. I suppose this would be useful for anyone who gets really into their spanking. But for the stable among us, this just isn't necessary.

Here is the part that matters. The paddle it double sided. On one side is smooth, even-textured leather, perfect for light play and inflicting teasing, concise licks on the behind. On the other side are thirty evenly-spaced metal studs. These are designed for heavier spanking. When used lightly, they hurt a little. But when used with some force, they hurt enough to inspire some winces as well as polka-dotted pink spots on the skin.

As I mentioned earlier, I was quite surprised with how well this paddle worked out for me. I was certainly intimidated when I pulled it out of the box. To add to my trepidation, my wife turned red and laughed when I showed it to her. She gave me that look that said without words: "Are you out of your mind? You can't possibly want me to use that on you!" Well, I was determined to try it. I was hopeful and terrified all at once. She was gracious as always.

Simply put, the studded side means business. It hurts when used with gusto. This paddle hurts, yes, but not in a way that makes you cry. It hurts in a way that feels good and, if anything, heightens the sensations you receive from other parts of sex and lovemaking.
