The Lelo Etherea Silk Cuffs are a great introduction to the BDSM world for those who are looking to dip their toe into the BDSM water but might be a little timid or nervous about heavier play. These cuffs are made from high quality silk and suede. The cuffs are reversible, either side is comfortable to wear and to adjust. You close these cuffs with silk ribbons and they tie together very easily. The thing that you notice with these cuffs is that they are very well made. Beyond the materials that are used, there are no flaws with the stitching on our cuffs. There is a small Lelo tag on each cuff.

The packaging for this product is consistent with other Lelo products. The product arrives in a small box, with the Lelo name on the front and inside the cardboard outer box is a nice black/grey box that holds the cuffs. The Lelo name is etched onto the heavy cardboard box and we use this box for storage of the cuffs. The cuffs come wrapped in tissue paper which we have kept as well for storage.

The cuffs come in a choice of three colors: black, red, or purple. As my wife's favorite color is purple we chose it and I have to say it's a deep purple and very muted which is nice. Sometimes straying from black can lead to garish colors once you open the box, but these cuffs are understated and tasteful, a great color overall.

The cuffs are each 8" long and the ribbons measure 36" long. My wife has wrists that would be considered on the smaller side but I have not had any trouble with the cuffs being too large for her. I've read that you can attach the ribbons to bedposts and such, but we have not been able to figure out how to do that yet. The length isn't quite long enough for our bed, but there is plenty of material to bind your wrists together or to other objects. You can bind wrists, or to other parts of the body very easily and there are many options for use with these cuffs. The ribbons tie together very easily and hold their knot well. These are ideal cuffs for introductory BDSM play, or play on the lighter side of BDSM. The cuffs are somewhat delicate due to the materials that they are made from, so I would not recommend them for heavy bondage play. I also would not use these cuffs when playing with liquids as the silk and suede can be stained and/or damaged very easily.

Lelo recommends dry cleaning these cuffs when it comes time to clean them. We have not needed to have them cleaned yet, but I think the dry cleaning option would be the best option. After ruining a suede coat a few years back by trying to clean it myself I know how delicate suede and silk can be.

These are fantastic cuffs and great for people who like a luxurious feeling to their BDSM play. We have used them several times and found that they are easy to set up, great for holding their knot and look fantastic. My wife also loves how soft they feel and how comfortable she is while wearing them.

These are great cuffs for lighter BDSM play. My wife loves the feel and look of these when being tied up and they can be as secure as you want them to be. We have used these about every week since we received them in July and it seems that the more we use them the more comfortable they feel for my wife, like suede tends to be. We also tie them to other restraints to lengthen restraints and tie her to bed posts on our bed. A worthwhile investment.
