Fresh blindfold - sex toy by PHS International - review by Rose Unlocked

Being a vegetarian, I always try to find items that aren’t made from animal products: this can be especially tricky in the BDSM area. I was pleasantly surprised to stumble upon the Fresh line from PHS International. Their slogan is “Frisky. Fearless. Fashionable. Fun.” The packaging is simple, classy, and cheerfully bright. The blindfold certainly embodies those words and the entire line is vegan friendly. I was a little disappointed to see while this blindfold is animal friendly, the packaging is not environmentally friendly. The plastic isn’t stamped with a recycling number, sadly.

My Fresh blindfold is hot pink. I’m a guy and I can appreciate the color. It’s both fun and festive, even the little blue flower that’s sewn on is pretty awesome. The interior has a very soft lining that isn’t faux fur like a lot of other blindfolds. My skin tends to get very warm and I like the fact I don’t feel like I have a sauna hugging my face. The elastic band is tight enough to keep it in place, but not so tight its uncomfortable in any way.

The blindfold is made from polyethylene. It can be cleaned using a gentle soap and water. It cannot be sterilized though, and as eyes can be a very sensitive area, just be careful who you allow to wear it. You don’t want to get pink eye, it may match the blindfold, but it won’t be very pleasant.

This blocks most of the light and the wearer shouldn’t be able to see much. The only way I could sneak a peak when wearing this is if I tilted my head back pretty far. Then it was so obvious what I was doing my girlfriend quickly reminded me peaking defeated the purpose of blind folding me. I’m quite happy with the Fresh blindfold and would like to try other options from this line.
