This mask is really great, actually, for the wearer - especially if that wearer has a large cranium. The front half is all leather, and the back-half is super stretchy Lycra, both black. I’m not sure just how resistant the mask is to ripping, but it hasn’t shown any evidence of damage (though we did do a preemptive sewing job on the eye and mouth holes). So if you want to be rough with your mask, you might want to do some more research.

As previously mentioned, this is half leather. I could smell the material as soon as I took it out of its box. The other half is Lycra. Both are good fabrics, and well sewn together. The only parts of the mask that I had some hesitation about were the eye and mouth openings - they were simply cut out of the face. Leather is good for not fraying, so this probably would have been fine. But because I wanted to be certain, I took out a needle and thread, and sewed in a blanket stitch around the edges, just to be sure.

This is as comfortable as I would expect a mask to be. I suppose that could be a drawback for some, but if you want discomfort, that's up to you. The fit was the most impressive detail, since my bf has difficulty buying hats that fit, even in the specialty stores.

I have not had to wash the mask, but I would probably use a spot clean method, and possibly consider some sort of leather cleaning kit. I've seen them for shoes, and it is most likely interchangeable. The mask folds up very small, so it would be easy to store nearly anywhere.

The mask was wrapped in plastic and inside of a box, with a model wearing the mask on the cover. No instructions were included, but it seems pretty simple to put on the mask, as its stretchiness allows the wearer to just pull it over his head.

The only drawback I really see to this item is that, though the lycra makes it more likely to fit, the two different materials do not look particularly attractive next to each other.
