Here are two views of these butterfly clamps, mine and my partner's. While I can describe the sensation of this beautiful device, he can speak to them from the perspective of one controlling them. I must say at the outset that this is a serious BDSM device and should not be used by beginners. Start with clothespins and get used to the sensation of your nipples being constantly constricted. Once you can handle an intense level of discomfort, then try butterfly clamps.

The plastic pads on this set were much better than other sets we had used. The pads extend far enough from the metal retaining points that they don't bite into my nipples and cause the "wrong" pain. They definitely clamp down snuggly. It doesn't take much tension on the chain at all to add more pressure. As one who enjoys this steady sensation on my nipples, I really like this set.

From my partner: By design, butterfly clamps are easy to use. This set is no different. Just a flip of the chain is enough to get a notable reaction. I can see the response immediately. There are two things I particularly appreciate about the clamps by Spartacus. First, they are well-made. The pads are designed so that the plastic protrudes far enough from the clamp that the metal retaining prongs do not jab into the skin. We've had this happen with other sets and the effect can be to ruin the play. Note that these clamp pads are not smooth. They have small pips on them which will leave marks on the nipples. Because the clamps exert a surprising degree of pressure, the nipples look like they were embossed with the pattern. Personally, I like that but you need to be aware that a mark will be left.
