Cheap but does the job

The Femme Fatale Whip is a good choice if you are looking for a beginner flogger just to test the waters. It can be a little stingier than most floggers really are, so if you think you'd enjoy the pain aspect of BDSM, this is a decent purchase to help explore that urge.

extremely useful review
The Femme Fatale Whip is a pretty popular BDSM toy in most major "porn stores". The cheap price and the non-threatening look is what make this the first flogger my boyfriend and I ever bought. The flogger is about two feet long and comes in either red or black. The handle is made from a plastic and the falls are made from fake leather that isn't very finished - so it's pretty scratchy and stingy. Along with the tails and handle, each flogger also includes a loop around the top to slip around your wrist or to hang on the wall when you aren't using it.

The flogger doesn't come in any sort of packaging. It just comes as-is with a little tag along the loop of the flogger. There's nothing exciting or discreet about the packaging.

The flogger itself is extremely lightweight. There are only 15 tails on this flogger and the fake leather it was made from is extremely lightweight. Compared to most floggers, this thing is extremely easy to wield and doesn't take much of an effort to hit someone with this repeatedly.

To use, the handle is about what you'd expect from looking at the handle. It serves as a good way to hold the flogger. However, this flogger does have long tails and since I was living in a small apartment, I'd actually wrap the tails around my hands once then use the remaining slack to hit instead of the full length. This made it much more controllable and easier for small spaces.

The flogger itself is not weighted. I know many advanced users prefer their floggers to be weighted, but I doubt this is something an advanced user would choose. I know I've outgrown it as well started to enjoy more BDSM.

So how does it feel? Stingy. Very stingy. The tails aren't very soft, so it's actually pretty stingy when you are struck with it. If the tails had been made softer, it may not end up hurting so much during use. Even very light strikes with this with feel stingy. With all of the ways that we've tried, we still haven't found a way to make this more massaging and thuddy than just stingy. There's really no way to avoid the stinginess. However, if you use it lightly, you won't get any marks from the stinginess. When used heavily, though, this will definitely leave marks and possibly scratch the person's skin enough, with repeated use, to make them bleed if you aren't careful.

The easiest way to help make the flogger less stingy would be to use this flogger on clothed skin - not bare skin. It would allow for the sensation to get through, but you wouldn't have the deal with the scratchiness and the stinging of the tails themselves.

To clean this flogger, you can clean the tails with warm water and a nice, mild soap. Make sure to pat it dry after you clean it. Since the leather can never fully be sterilized or cleaned, though, I recommend not getting this near body fluids of someone you aren't fluid bonded with.

For storage, I recommend keeping these laying flat somewhere. If you keep them curled up somewhere, the tails actually have a memory, so next time you take it out, the tails will be all kinky and not straight.

So do I recommend it? It depends really. It's not a bad flogger, but it's certainly a beginner flogger - and honestly not a good one at that unless you are searching for some stingy qualities in your first flogger. Personally, I think there are other floggers out there that would work better than this one. If they would have softened the leather a bit, it would have been a better flogger, but it isn't softened. If you are looking for a cheap, stingy first flogger, this is perfect - but if you like it, be aware that you will be looking for a new flogger to purchase. But for a trial run, this actually works okay.
Follow-up commentary
We just have too many floggers to consider this a regular flogger for our use. These just never get used anymore. In fact, we'd be willing to give them to someone if one of our friend's asked. We own both of them, and I learned to flourentine on them, but they just aren't that interesting to us anymore.

The leather layers of one of the tails is actually starting to peel apart, leading to two layers of leather. This is only happening on one flogger (our newer one with less use), so we may have gotten a bad product though. I'm not sure. We just don't pull these out enough to know too much about these.

Thanks for the info Mistress Kay. I am always interested in new BDSM things and it is great to get good and reliable info prior to purchase. Although it looks and sounds pretty good for beginners, we are definitely not beginners. But your info will help when I talk to newbies. Thanks again.

@MissPtunia Honestly, this would be good for beginners who don't have the extra income, but if the beginner had more money, I'd highly recommend the Fluffy Flogger for beginners instead.
