Nipple clamps work by applying pressure to the nipples, creating intense stimulation and/or pain. They're most often positioned at the base of erect nipples, where they restrict the blood flow and make the nipples more sensitive. The wearer experiences an increase in sensation/pain once the clamps are removed and circulation is restored. This type of sex toy is great for people who enjoy intense nipple stimulation, like pinching, pressure, and tugging.

I don't think the Hammer Nipple Tweezers are the best choice for those relatively new to this type of nipple play because the weights and chains aren't removable, and I found the added weight too much. I did try attaching the clamps to various other body parts, but the clothespin-style clamps don't open up very far. They just barely fit on my thumb, so any piece of skin or body part thicker than that will be too big.

The clamps, chains, and hammer weights are made from metal (iron, according to the packaging), so there's no stretch. They smell like metal, and the surface on the hammers is smooth, with a few notches on the handles close to where the chains attach.

The part of the clamps that you pinch to open them has small ridges, and the alligator/clothespin opening has a bolt that you screw in or out to adjust the pressure. The clamp tips are covered in a soft black material, presumably to add traction and comfort by preventing the clamps from cutting into the skin. These caps tend to slip off very easily, though, so be careful not to lose them.

I'd say that I have pretty average size nipples and these clamps fit me fine. I'm relatively new to wearing nipple clamps, so I had these pried all the way open to get them on, then I slowly allowed the two ends to close by backing off the screw holding them apart. People with smaller nipples or those who can take more pressure when the clamps are first put on might not have to open them all the way up.

I like the design of the clamps themselves, as I think this type of clothespin/alligator closure is easy to use. I'm not sure I understand the appeal of having hammer shaped weights, and I would prefer the option of removing them. The total length, including clamp, chain and hammer, is around 11 inches, with close to 7 inches of chain, and they weigh 1.6 ounces (45 grams) each.

As far as comfort, for me that would be improved with the removal of the chains and hammers. I wasn't a fan of the extra weight tugging on my nipples, and I had to adjust the clamps so they were really tight (too tight for me) just to keep them on.

These should be fairly easy to care for since they're metal. I would make sure to thoroughly dry them, and be careful not to lose the little caps covering the tips since they slip off fairly easily. As for storage, I've been keeping mine in the small box they came in. I suppose this isn't really ideal, because they get shifted around in the drawer and I can hear the metal clinking around in there against itself, but so far nothing has chipped or scratched.

Hammer Nipple Tweezers come in a small black box. On the front is a naked woman modeling the clamps, so it's not at all discreet. At least, Photobucket didn't think so because they removed my picture of it. The back of the box is where you'll find product information printed in different languages. If you want to be able to actually read any of it you'll need a magnifying glass, as it's teeny-tiny white text on a black background. Inside, each nipple clamp is sealed in its own plastic bag.

While I love to have my nipples pinched and played with, these clamps did not work for me. The added weight of the chains and hammers was too much, and I couldn't get any enjoyment from wearing them. I really think they would be improved if the chains were removable, because then the user could start out with just the clamps and then work up to the added weight. Quality-wise, the only concern I have are the lose caps covering the clamp tips. They slip off easily and feel pretty thin, so be careful not to rip or lose them.

I'm giving this product 3 stars because I really hate that the chains are fixed to the clamps. I would probably enjoy using these clamps without the added weight of the hammers and chains, so the fact that they're not removable is a deal breaker for me. Also, I'm miffed that they crammed so much white text on a dark background for the product info. The same information printed on piece of paper stuffed down in the box would have been much easier to read, in my opinion.
