This blindfold is intended for sensory deprivation, but it can also be used for sleeping. It is not a blackout blindfold, as it does not provide complete darkness with your eyes open, but it serves its purpose pretty well.

The blindfold is made of a fairly soft polyester, attached with a band of elastic an inch wide. The entire piece is roughly 19" unstretched and fits my (wide) 22" head quite comfortably. Though the elastic does stretch several inches, I don't think it will lose its shape without heavy use for a long period of time.

The eye piece is 7.5" across and 3" tall at the middle of each eye, so there is no issue with light getting in there, and it is a little over 0.25" thick (not very plush, but more than a simple piece of fabric).

The nose piece does seem to let in just a small amount of light no matter which way I tug it, though this is not a problem when I close my eyes.

I have mostly used this for sleeping, so the little bit of light around the nose isn't an issue, and it works well. I haven't had any issues with it slipping off during sleep or play, and yet it's not uncomfortably tight. The light does bother me when I open my eyes, but the plush is close enough to my eyes that I generally keep them shut.

This blindfold is very simple to store. It folds in half quite easily and can just go in a drawer. There isn't much care needed. I wouldn't recommend throwing this in the dryer, simply because that will harm the elastic, but I could see this holding up in a washing machine. That, or just spot clean as needed.

The packaging was not discreet at all, even for such a normal-looking product, and of course there were no instructions. The box is rather large/bulky, so I just recycled it.
