The cuffs are attractive, but I wouldn't want them to be the only thing suspending me from a ceiling. The D-Ring is sturdy and held up to rigorous strain by hand pulling, but I do not know that I would trust them to hold someone down securely during more strain, such as during a flogging, or even during intense strain. Even pulling without all of my weight behind it, I could see the strain that the polyethylene was under, and it started to stretch a little too much for my comfort level.

Even so, they would be good for beginners or those who do not intend to do heavy BDSM scenes; as a restraint for sex or even light paddling, these would be great, but for something in which the user will be writhing and straining against cuffs, you might want to look elsewhere.

The cuffs are made of Polyethylene, which is a complex plastic (shopping bags are made mostly out of polyethylene), which makes the inside of the cuffs nice and squishy. The cuffs are vegan-friendly, because there are no animal products used in them at all.

Polyethylene is listed on EdenFantasys as being in the leather family, it's actually plastic, which means that complete sterilization is going to be difficult. I tried to find more information online about complete sterilization of Polyethylene products and haven't been able to find anything, so be careful with open cuts and sores on your wrists when using the product.

My wrists measure 6.5 inches around, and the cuffs are advertised for 6"-9" wrists. However, when I put them on, I had to put them on the second tightest setting. Because my wrists are on the small end of the cuff's spectrum, the cuff had to be almost wrapped around itself to reach the smaller buckle holes. Although it was certainly not uncomfortable, the rubbing of the wrapped-around cuff started to chafe after a good amount of motion, but the squishy polyethylene did prevent a lot of the discomfort that could have existed.

My wrists aren't exceptionally small, but if they were a bit smaller I think that these cuffs would have been impossible for me to wear.

They performed well; they were more comfortable than I expected they would be (I'm definitely a fan of the foam lining) though I'm curious to see if they will be as sweat-inducing as leather tend to be.

I was surprised, though, at the colour--the photos showed a more subdued pastel toning than what I got. Make no mistake, these are neon.

I plan on using them in the future to find out how they hold up to repeated use, both light and more strenuous. My main concern isn't that the rivets holding the wrist strap to the cuff will break, but that the plastic around the D-Ring itself will start to tear.

It came in an oval plastic box, no instructions or care instructions included. It did, however, mention again on the box that the cuffs are vegan, so there is no doubt about that.

They're a great option for vegans, or for those with allergies to leather or other tradition cuff materials. They stood up to a moderate amount of struggling, but I would make sure that my play with these cuffs is on the lighter side of things.
