Did they mean Impressions Crap?

Ok, if you are a light player or brand new to BDSM, then you may find a use for this, but for us, this couldn't do anything. It broke while my dominant was trying it out. We hadn't even used it yet in play. It's made from very cheap materials that can't stand up to impact play.

Use

Theoretically, this crop is for BDSM play. I say theoretically because the materials are not going to hold up beyond the lightest play. This item is designed to be used for spanking. The crop tip is designed to leave a heart shaped mark on the body, but that's not going to work for everyone depending on how easily marks get left on you.

I think that this toy is an ok beginners toy. It's not really able to do much damage, and it is cheap. Unfortunately, that cheap price tag means inferior materials and quality.

Design / Craftsmanship / Size / Material / Features

Oh, dear. I have so many issues to talk about here. I am going to have to break this down a little more.

Size
This thing is so small for a crop. Most crops and canes that I run into are close to three feet in length from handle to tip. This one is listed as 23" long, but they are including the wrist strap in that measurement. The crop from handle to tip is only 17" long! That is tiny! I was so disappointed. Because this is so short, getting a strong swing is very difficult.

Quality and Craftsmanship
So, my dominant and I both test new impact toys before we ever use them in play. First, he takes the toy, and hits himself as hard or harder then he would hit me with it. Afterwards, I hit myself with it, so I know what to expect from it. I then inspect it. This was going to be my toy because I am a switch. I wanted it for my collection of toys to dom others with. I was in the process of testing it on myself when the rod snapped where the rivet that holds the handle to the rod is.

I was shocked. We hadn't even played with it yet, and it was destroyed. The plastic that they used to make this was drilled completely through for the rivet which severely weakened the rod. Because the materials are lacking in quality, it was already weak from being a softer plastic.

Materials
As I mentioned, the rod is really weak. Additionally, the faux leather they used on the handle has really sharp edges. They would probably wear down to something more comfortable, but right now, they are really awkward to hold.

Performance

My dom and I both used this on ourselves before it fell apart. We both were unimpressed with the amount of bit it had. We had agreed that this was mostly a warm up top or a cool down toy. We are moderate to heavy impact players when it comes to BDSM, so light or new players will find that this has a little bit of a bite, but for those that prefer more pain, this isn't going to do much for you.

Care and Maintenance

The wrist strap on the end lets you hang this on the wall or from a hanger for storage. You could also toss it in a drawer or trunk. It's a little long for easy storage options, but it isn't high maintenance about it which is nice.

This can be wiped down with a damp soap cloth; you just don't want to submerge it.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Packaging

If they were trying to design the least discreet packaging, then they won on this. the crop is attached to a cardstock board that has a woman wearing nothing but a thing holding the crop and then in big lettering it says Sex Mischief.

Experience

We know how to make BDSM toys, in fact we run a business doing just that, so we have the materials to remake this. We have to replace the rod with something sturdier and longer and then this will be an alright toy, but as it stands, it is not worth it at all.
Follow-up commentary
We had to completely rebuild this to make it work. The only thing that was kept from the original was the little strip of red fabric. now, it looks better and actually works. The sad thing is it only cost us about a dollar in supplies to do it.
