You have just experienced the Sportsheets interchangeable crop top system. A crop can be used in multiple ways in a session. My wife and I so far have only used it for light spanking on our asses, but it could also be used for CBT. Also, if you are role playing with a partner as a horse, you could use this. And depending on what your mood is, you can change to one of the different tops available, or to co-ordinate with your outfit for the evening.

The design of this crop is the first of its kind that I have seen on Eden. The crop in total length is 1 foot 8.5 inches long. The handle portion is 7.5 inches, and has a little stopper at the end to prevent your hand from slipping off. There is also a 5.5 inch long loop to place your hand through so the crop doesn't go flying, and while my large hand fits through it easily, it is not comfortable to grip the handle of the crop. It just feels awkward. The handle is a rubberish material, that is wrapped up nice and tight. From a distant it looks like it could be leather, but upon closer inspection, it appears to be rubber. Not that this is a bad thing, it is a comfortable handle. Above the handle, the crop continues and it appears to have a nylon webbing up the rest of the crop, besides the last 2 inches, which is where the crop top slips into. The handle is pretty firm, I can only flex it slightly when I put pressure on it. The balance point of the crop is 10 inches from the base of the handle.

At the top of the crop is the small opening where you slide your desired crop top into. Provided in the package are three different crop tops. A purple heart, a red hand, and a black loop. In this small opening at the top, you insert the desired top that you wish to use for your session. It simply slides into place. Then when you want to change it out, you simply give a firm pull, and the top separates from the handle with a pop. No screws, ties, clamps, or any other form of work necessary to secure them. And they do stay secure. It is almost like it forms a suction when you put the top onto the handle.

The black loop is 3 inches long by almost 2.5 inches wide, and it is secured to its small rod by white thread. It is a single piece of faux leather wrapped back over itself, so it provides a little bit of a slap sound when is strikes the body. This top is the most flexible of the three. The red hand is 3.5 inches long, by 2.5 inches wide, and is also secured by white thread. This is two pieces of material sewn together, with a third black piece sandwiched between to give the hand some support. The purple heart is 2.5 inches tall by 3 inches wide, but is secured with black thread. This is two pieces of material sewn together, but without the third piece sandwiched in between.

This being our first crop, I wasn't sure what to expect, and my wife was surprised by my purchase. We are not into real heavy play yet, we just enjoy some light spanking, and this meet my expectations. My wife had no complaints about the weight or feel of the crop, and she enjoyed spanking me with it and the black top. On the receiving end, it was not as sharp of a pain as the leather side of the fluffy heart spank her paddle by Ruff Doggie Styles, and this was fine by me. It was really quite enjoyable, because where the paddle would give me a real strong sting when she hits me with it, this provides a very slight sting which is definitely better for repeat hits on an area. The black top has the most give upon impact, with the purple heart up next. The firmest of the three is the red handle, and this is probably because of the extra black material sewn in between the pieces of faux leather. Upon repeat hits of the black of my arm, there is just a slight stingy sensation, with a small amount of red forming after about 10 hits. I cannot comment on how a full on swing would feel, since my wife probably wouldn't be strong enough to do it, and I could not do it to my wife because she would probably severely hurt me.

The crop tops are made out of faux leather. You shouldn't really have to clean this unless you really whack someone hard, but if it is necessary, you can wash the tops with warm water and detergent free soap. Because of it's size, it does not fit inside of our nightstand where we store most of our toys. Right now it is just sitting on the top of it, but we are probably going to hang it up in a closet soon or on the side of a bookcase for easier storage. My wife came up with a pretty good temporary option, where we slide the crop between a wall and the nightstand, and then place the extra crop tops inside the drawer.

When I went to the office to pick up the box, I was expecting something slightly larger than what I normally receive from Eden. When I saw the actual box that this was in, my jaw might have hit the floor. It was HUGE! When I got home and opened up the box, I discovered that it was two boxes taped together. Inside was the crop system with two DVD's and a book. The packaging was nice, and it is almost 31 inches tall. It has clear plastic on the front so you could see the crop and the three tops, along with a picture of a blond in her bra holding the product. On the back, they show the same blond again, but this time using the crop on a bent over man, along with the other tops available. According to the packaging, there are 5 other tops available; a black hand, a black foot, narrow loop, a feather tickler, and a split slapper. Eden only appears to have the black foot and the black split slapper. The box opened up easily at the top, and I pulled out the cardboard that the system was attached to. However, it got difficult at this point. Everything was secured with zip-ties, which should not have been too difficult. But for the tops with their small diameter shaft, there was no way I could get a knife underneath the zip tie. So between using scissors to cut some of the ties, a Swiss army knife for the others, and evening ripping apart the cardboard to get one, I was able to get everything freed in a few minutes. But the packaging kept everything safe during shipping, and besides the zip-ties, I am throwing everything else into recycling.

When my wife saw this box, she was a little skeptical at first. Maybe I had gone too far without talking to her about this purchase. But after a few days, when we first used it, she changed her mind. She enjoyed using it on me, and she didn't have to swing too hard for me to feel it. Not that it was very soft, or extremely painful, but a nice sting to remind me who is in charge. I have even pulled it on her a few times, and with light whacks from me, she has not complained yet. Overall, we are very pleased with this product, and I see no reason why I cannot give it 5 stars.
